This is digging deep because I’m still disappointed with how light mode looks on iOS 27, but there have been some changes. Darker shadows in the glass again and the curvature/shape of the Search bar has been tweaked again. Layering looks better now when you have something dark or colorful behind the glass (such as maps), but controls still look odd and oblong when it’s all white on white.

Seeing as we’re on beta 3 now, I’m worried they have no plans to match the pretty MacOS 27 glass with its HDR refractions.
Three betas so far and more feedback on this from me. It’s crazy how they feel I need a whole top bar for a title “settings” to live there but they can’t fix the bottom scroll edge which has been none existent, essentially leaving no distinction between controls and content ….

No clue as to cause but my Air is currently sitting cooling down.
I picked it up to see where the install was (B3) and it was hot 🥵 to the touch. IR sensor said 109.1F.
It was shut down.

OTA update.

Cooled down so I tried booting it. All appears to be okay. No idea as to cause.

Why………. I don’t get the top bars on iPhone. And practically none existing bottom scroll edge effect :/

Clock has been updated 🙄

It's pretty sad reading here about animations stuttering and icons sometimes not loading. I thought iOS 27 was meant to fix all that. 😔

All products need to properly index after installing an update. That applies to beta and pubic builds. It is recommended to follow up either later tonight or tomorrow.
