iOS 27 Beta 6 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I agree. I’m also using the Apple Watch on the beta, and that is functioning perfectly too. I installed both when Beta 6 came out and I’ve yet to have any bugs pop up.

My battery life on both the 17 Pro Max and the Apple Watch 10 is comparable to how it was before I installed the beta, that is, very good indeed, under heavy usage

I have an Apple Watch 11 and am tempted to install the newest beta (my iPhone, Apple TV, and HomePods are all on 27), but I keep seeing people say the battery life isn’t great (albeit not terrible) on the new watch beta so that’s keeping me away. Latest build is an “a” build, I believe.

I think the lack of reversibility and never focusing on battery life keeps a lot of potential beta users away. I'm one those that would love to test for them, but stay away for those 2 reasons.

Has anyone had issues with markup? I cannot see the plus unless I turn the phone into landscape and even then it is missing add text , add signature , add shapes. Also there is no loupe ?

iPhone 12 Pro

Partially hidden + on 13 mini. It’s also a bit tricky to swipe through the tools without minimising and moving the whole toolbar. Not using any zoom.

Anyone else see Wallet twice under Location Services?

Anyone have any idea why this might be working this way?

I'm on the most recent developer beta on an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

No double wallet but double Home! Astronomy (presumably the wallpaper) is missing an icon too.

My battery on the Watch 10, smaller one, is about the same as pre-beta. But, to be very honest, the watch feels the same as it did on the last full release of WatchOS. I'd not recommend updating - just because it functions much the same as before, there has been no real benefit to me. If you're worried, just play it safe and wait a few weeks.

iOS is another story. The beta of that feels like a new phone, I really like it. Worth trying that beta out, much more noticeable.

Screen insists on going dimmer than I need and text editing/autocorrect is as idiotic as ever.

Battery life seems slightly improved… I think.

Well technically you can reverse back if you get a good local backup (not iCloud) and archive it. Then if things don't work out you can DFU restore to the release version and use you archived backup and BAM you are back. A little effort? Yeah sure but not to bad. Now as far as THIS version, it seems very solid and so far I have seen no reason to want to go back. Most posts here also reflect that. There are a few, "well there is a shadow here for a micro second when you do this or that" or some other visual abnormality that is not 100% perfect but lets face it, there is never any version, beta or not, that is. As for battery, it doesn't seem any worse but if it is an issue, well there are so many options (car charger, battery pack, battery case, a household receptacle, etc) that is always available, unless you are off the grid, to give you a boost. Hell plug into your computer while complaining about battery life on a MacRumors forum. 🙂 These phones now charge so fast it shouldn't be an issue to get thru a day.
