And it could be Apple switched to dev Tuesdays / public Thursdays release.
Selfishly, I hope that’s not true. Beta usually comes out at the time that I have to sit down for the mandatory 10am meeting to start my new work week. Gives me something to look forward to when my weekend comes to an end 😂

Got this random splash screen in App Store and I though it was released and updated overnight 😔

Yes, I’m sure a few people at Apple know…
You see, there is this process where employees get to put their name in a hat for a drawing. About 9:55a PST, they hold up the hat and pick one name. This is the person that gets to hit the big red release button. Training on the button used to only take 5 minutes and this person hit the button at exactly 10:00a PST. Nowadays, the the training for the button takes 10-15 minutes if the employee is smart. If the employee is a slow learner, it can take almost an hour to learn how to push the release button.

Yesterday, the chosen one couldn't get the hang of it, hence no release.

The process starts over today.

All of this is just speculation of course.

I'm getting the same welcome screen from the App Store, and another one just popped up when I picked up my AirPods Pro 3. I used them this morning and nothing appeared; it only happened about 20 minutes ago. It also popped up on my iPad, which is still running iOS 26. On my iPhone, it let me configure a few things, like whether I want the music to pause if it detects I've fallen asleep, while on iOS 26 only the information screen appeared.
