Ah, I quit uploading the iPad 3 (WiFi/ATT/VZ) firmware as it's pretty much useless to anyone at this point.

4.5 hours left as of 7:30 PM Pacific.

Thanks for the link, I downloaded the 4s firmware and it's updating right now. Apple needs to beef up their capacity a bit. I never even stood a chance of getting through to their servers.

You're very welcome.....and the 3,3 firmware is up! Enjoy!

I'm going to bed now but will upload the remaining firmware during the night.

you're a lifesaver, woke up this AM and went straight to your DB after I saw that the servers were still down. Am now running 5.1 all thanks to you!

I feel dumb for asking this but...

I downloaded the update from dropbox. Now the update is in my downloads folder. How do I get it to update my iPhone? I tried opening the update with iTunes (didn't work).

Never mind: I found the solution in a different thread! (yea!)

Sorry folks, I guess I exceeded my 250gb cap for 24 hours and the links are broken for 3 days :(

If you're having trouble downloading from Apple, use this trick I posted in another thread.

Here's how you fix it:

Go to the DNS portion of your Network settings. Write down your current settings (just incase you want to go back to them). Then change your DNS to:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

This is the Google Public DNS settings. I was having issues all day, then I changed my settings and BAM! Downloaded right away. Now, I did change back to my original DNS settings because I don't know how secure Google is, but if you pop over to their DNS, you should be able to get the update.

Okay, I was able to get it but it you may not like or need my solution. I changed my DNS to OpenDNS. I was using a DIR-655 router dLink router.

Apparently there is a known issue. iPad, 4S, and Apple TV now updating.

Here is what I used. Search for your router on Google.
