It indicates it is a "new" installed app. Instead of the diagonal "New" banner on the corner.

I'm just the greatest fan of Jon Ives, but for all his genius in 3D and hardware (new Mac Pro = home run!), he has got to have flunked graphic arts!

Thanks! At least I know I'm not alone! The problem is that Jon did not follow his own design guides. Coloring everything like Sweet Tarts does not constitute design!

I am sure this has been said already (didn't read through all 11 pages) but just in case ... The compass app now has level built in...kinda neat. And another third party app bites the dust.

can someone check if in Messages/SMS if you are able to search key words that do not appear on the current page of conversations. After a while it gets really annoying selecting "load earlier messages" 100 times. I know you can search key words in spotlight as well but in iOS 6, even after it locates the text it defaults to the most recent texts. Thanks!

Nope, it still only brings you to the newest messages.

One small thing I really enjoyed while jailbroken was the ability to show the date next to the time on the very top. So if I'm typing something up and I need to know the date I wouldn't have to go the homescreen to find out. Is this remedied in iOS 7??

Still there and works the same as it used to.
Control centre activates if you slide up from the bottom in the middle, there's a hint of an up arrow there.

I'm noticing I no longer have dots on the month view of calendar to signify events. This ruins month view IMO since I have to go to day view to see if I have an event scheduled. I hope this is an oversight.
