There have been some similar ones even before just without the widget that wasn't available before (like Launcher Pro), and there are some similar ones even now still with widgets, like Quick-Tap and Quickiee.

New York Times still not working
They just updated the widget but the top stories still are not updating for me. I hard reset the phone and even deleted/reinstalled the app. I got an update when I reinstalled the app, but none since. Is anyone else still seeing this issue?

The problem with this is that they could just make it expand and collapse like PCalc or Forecast+. It's a really badly designed widget in that sense.
Huh. That's interesting. Apple must not check thoroughly, or those apps got through beforehand... I've downloaded them just to have them, since I didn't download Launcher at the time. Too bad for the other dev, though. :/

That would be nice, you're right. I think this is just the first wave of widgets and as developers spend more time, you'll see user customization come to widgets. Dataman just updated their app to allow the widget to be customized a little bit, and i think we'll start to see more of this down the line.
Yeah, really looking forward to what developers do, and I hope they don't get lazy by deciding not to include widgets when one would be really good.
am i the only person who can't get the Transit app widget to work? It's not displaying any data, driving me nuts!

Using my week old 6 Plus on iOS 8. Not sure if this is the right spot to ask about this, but my Stocks widget in my notifications center says it is "unable to load." Sometimes, I'll see the default ticker symbols that will show, but when I click to expand the list...it will crash and nothing will show. Has anyone experienced this or would happen to know of any fixes?

Weather Channel widget never updates for me, is there a fix for this?

Also, LinkedIn keeps saying to sign in, when I hit it it takes me right to the app where I am indeed signed in. Ugh. These widgets are not so helpful so far.

iMonitor widget drains battery while phone is in standby.
once I deleted the widget battery is back to normal. This is after a day w/ iMonitor widget enabled
On iOS 8.1, nut sure if that is the reason...but iMonitor is defiantly the cause.

Also, not sure why the Honeywell Total Home Comfort app is listed on this thread? There is no widget for it that I have been able to find either via Settings within the app or via the NC.
