So performance actually took a hit on iOS 9.2 versus iOS 9.1?
It's different for different people. Many say things are (at least a bit) better while some say they are more or less the same and a few say they are worse in one way or another.

I guess I'll have to try it myself:) If the third beta is released I'll try it out.

I think 9.2 will go public in Feb or March. Not seeing it any soon as it's going to be performance oriented update. Just my thoughts though. ;-)

It will go public well before then. Especially if they are doing the weekly updates I'd say middle December earliest to beginning January.

They're doing a biweekly updates and 7.1 had the same beta testing gap too. So Feb or March is possible.

Its out!!!!!!

I really like that. What I don't like is that they're still not fixing the issues people are having with iOS 9, lol. But they're doing something.
I think they are trying to get it as optimised as poss first before breaking it more lol.

Those of you in 9.2 beta 2, is it good enough for daily use? I'm on a 6S but always look forward to performance improvements.
Totally fine for me, I use it as a daily driver on iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6. If anything it's been better than 9.1 so far.
They better drop beta 3 today. Beta 2 has had horrid battery life and stuttering on Air 2 and 5S.
That's odd. Both my iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6 are much better in terms of speed and smoothness with 9.2b2 compared to 9.1. Battery life is a little better or the same as well. All could still DEFINITELY improve, spotlight still is really bad on my mini 2, control center is bad on iPhone 6 and mini 2, and app switcher still has issues going in and out of apps although it is much better on iPad mini 2.
