I've also noticed less stuttering on my 6 Plus.I've noticed less lag/stutter. I just installed the beta today though.
Rule #1: Never benchmark a beta.
It's the app switcher where I'm noticing less stutter. The animation seems much smoother. There may be dropped frames, but not enough for me to notice. Also seeing less stuttering on my 6 Plus, especially when pulling down Spotlight from the Home Screen. It's not perfect but it's an improvement over previous versions of iOS 9. As far as lag goes, I've never been overly concerned about the speed which apps open and close. Seems the same as it's always been.
Lolz, and then when the final is out and 90% of the beta issues are still there we're all gonna act very surprised again.Rule #1: Never benchmark a beta.
Anyone with an iPad Air 2 running the beta? I'm seeing mostly posts about iPhones! I want to know about iPad. Versus 9.1 final not any previous release.
Thanks in advance if anyone answers!
Have you tried a restore and set up as new?Installed the beta on my iPad Air, performance difference is barely noticeable compared to iOS 9.1. The frame rate problems across iOS system level animations doesn't seem to be addressed at all.
By the way iOS 9.1 on iPad Air was poorly optimized to begin with. Multitasking app switcher's frame rate is extremely low, pulling down on the home screen to access spotlight search also has very low frame rates. It looks like the overall fluidity and responsiveness of iOS 9.1 is actually worse than iOS 8.4.1.
Yes of course, I've restored from previous iTunes backups and erased the device to set up as new. It appears the problem isn't with how I set up the device, it's more of a problem on Apple's side. iOS 9.1 isn't optimized well especially in the multitasking app switcher and spotlight search, and sadly 9.2 doesn't fix this either.Have you tried a restore and set up as new?

"shrug" I think i have heard this every beta and im always disappointed when i try it.. never the same as some people say.On my 6+ and Air 2, everything seems faster and more responsive.
App Switcher and Spotlight definitely improved on these two devices.
I'm reporting my experience, which is positive. You may have a completely different opinion."shrug" I think i have heard this every beta and im always disappointed when i try it.. never the same as some people say.
really my only issue with ios9 so far is the app delay compared to 8.4I'm reporting my experience, which is positive. You may have a completely different opinion.
This is not directed towards you.
What I do find interesting is, I'm not denying there's lag. Yet, our resident lag experts are ready to jump and report everything is horrible in lag-ville again.
It's all or nothing to them. It must be a fluidity utopia on b1. Don't give folks hope they are working this. It's no lag or bust.
I get you. You've been more than resonable in your opinions and thoughts. Much appreciated.really my only issue with ios9 so far is the app delay compared to 8.4
