Ugh. I went ahead and did my 6s to 9.3.3 and j/b. I have a 6 that is j/b on 8.4. I wonder if I should just update it to 9.3.3 via DFU and j/b it just to stay with the latest j/b firmware.

If you're jailbroken, OTA updates are disabled. Just wanted to make sure everyone is aware.

I'm safe on 9.3.3 without any issues and with a jailbreak. :)

It's good that Apple releases these quickly. Security is important.

They took forever to release 9.3.3 and went through betas and delayed the jailbreak. But to patch a jailbreak they'll release one so quick

To patch a security issue, sure, why not?

Is there still that tweak cydia inpactor around that works for 9.3.3? They had it for 8.3 and 8.4 where it would unjailbreak your phone but keep it on the same iOS version. Does anybody know if this still exists and works for 9.3.3? I'm tempted to get back in jailbreak land but I also want a way out without upgrading.
With the current semi-tethered jailbreak you can reboot your phone into an in-jailbroken state. It'll stay that way until you use the app to "reactivate" it.

That's a pretty cool "feature". Funny how many people won't update to a much improved OS because they deem this jailbreak to be a PITA. With the 6S jailbroken on 9.3.3, this is BY FAR the best iPhone experience I've had - on an order of magnitude.

Amen there.

Agree 100%.

same thoughts here! Most stable JB ever!
Haven't had a single crash or reboot since the release of 9.3.3. JB. I jailbroke the 2nd day after release.
Pretty impressive its so stable just after less then 2 weeks

In all fairness it did take a LONG time for this one to drop. I'd like to think the jailbreak code has been refined since the 9.0.2 times.

Well wasn't that a foregone conclusion that Apple would bring out a 9.3.4 update to stop people jailbreaking. I actually predicted this would happen sooner or later as Apple seem to hate people jailbreaking iOS. If Apple were to make iOS less restricted then there would be no need for jailbreaking in the first place. I'm glad I updated to 9.3.3 when I did.

You'd be silly in my opinion to not go 9.0.2 to 9.3.3 unless there are deal breaking tweak compatibility issues.

9.3.3 is so much better
I have so many iPhones that I will leave my 6+, iPad Mini 2 and 5S on 9.0.2. I upgraded my 6S and 6S+ to 9.3.3 last week because those were not jailbroken. I have no problem leaving the other devices on 9.0.2 for another year or longer. A few of the mods I use just aren't working on 9.3.3.

I don't think Apple hates jailbreaking so much as it finds it a useful bug solving tool.

Make it as hard to jailbreak as they can and let someone else do the jailbreaking work at no cost to Apple. Take a look at the JB code and then patch it while thanking the JB team.

In the meantime they discourage the average user because they want to homogenize the experience so it's easier to deal with in terms of customer support.

Fair, I had 4 devices and just staged it.

Couldnt jailbreak iPad Pros until an update anyways, so did SE and 6s+ as soon as JB came out, and both Pros a few days later,

to each his own,

Since it's been 9 months or so laziness isnt an option. It's like using iOS 9 beta (9.0.x) to mature iOS 9 in my opinion. If it were weeks back to back of jailbreak releases, I'd re-evaluate/weigh out the risks of moving up and dealing with other issues, etc

I'm currently jail broken on iOS 9.02. Is it too late to jailbreak to 9.3.3?

If it's not too late, how do I go about doing it on a Mac? I have seen the guides on Redmond pie but none of the guides state if I need to unjailbreaking the 9.02 jailbreak before jail breaking to 9.3.3. Or if I can just jailbreak on top of my existing jailbreak.

Any help is massively welcome.

Thanks guys.

As long as 9.3.3 is still being signed, don't walk, RUN to the nearest computer and download the appropriate IPSW for your device and restore it to 9.3.3 (hold the command key to navigate to the IPSW). iClarified has good guides as well as links to the IPSW files, etc. I don't think DFU mode is needed to restore a JB device, if I remember correctly.

It is still being signed. I just upgraded from 9.0.1 and had constant overnight reboots and battery issues. I'm hoping 9.3.3 makes it a lot more stable. I like the idea of being able to run stock unless I need it. I only use it for tether me anyway.

I haven't had a single reboot and battery has been incredible. You did the right thing!
