That is so huge I would definitely be hesitant to use it myself. 600K lines and ~10MB of plaintext rules. What is the source for this file?

I used this script (it's made by an Adblock Plus developer) to convert this list.

Yes it's huge, but it's compiled into bytecode the first time the list is loaded, so Safari doesn't need to parse it everytime.

I installed it this morning. It does make loading pages faster. Rachel did a good job. Being free is nice as well.

For sure, I am looking forward to the tech blogs doing comparisons of which content blocker is the most efficient. Seems there's a lot of them in development and Crystal seems to be the most talked about one.

I am keeping an eye out for all the different offerings that are about to hit the MAS. I like the simplicity of Freedom. It will be interesting to see how Crystal compares.

Come Wednesday, I hope we see some 'in use' YouTube videos.

If you come across an ad that didn't block, can you ad it to the block list on the fly with the phone, or do you have to contact the developer, so that he can add the site to the block list?

You ahve to contact the developer and the site/ad will be reviewed within 7 days and the blacklist will be updated

Protip - don't activate two content blockers at once.

Hmm I'm testing two content blockers now (Freedom & Blockr). Freedom has been working great. I installed Blockr today and realized I could activate both at the same time with the sliders on settings.

Page didnt load, so i assume there's an overlap or something in the code that messes safari up. So, stick with one I guess.

You have a link for Blockr? I am not seeing it?

Got an invite and installed Crystal. It's working perfectly so far! I've found a few sites that show the adds but love that you can report them through the application.
