I literally am so p***ed off with iOS 9 and I can't even go back... iOS 9 backup won't work on 8.4, my old 8.3 backup won't work because Apple ain't signing 8.3 no more, I can't shift update to 8.4 and last time I done a reset all settings nothing changed. Any time I use emojis in anything the app instantly slows down and hangs for ages, the phone gets so hot when using, cpu is constant 60%+, WiFi calling is broken, and I won't even go in to the battery life. Having to charge it at least twice a day (Thank God for EE Power Bar). Its just a mess and 3 betas in and its still horrible for me. I severely hope beta 4 pulls out some miracle because this is ridiculous.

Your 8.3 backup will work with ios 8.4. You just can't use a ios 9 backup with anything lower

The annoying thing is is that I've got so much data on iOS 9 that I want and need for 8.4... It can't happen...

Welcome to beta. Apple tells you to backup right before installing beta to minimize the loss of data (texts and so on.) in case you needed to revert back to latest official release. (So it's only 1 or 2 week loss vs who knows how long.)

Thats why I backed up prior to going to 9 beta but since then I've got data that I can't really lose. I have no choice but to wait until GM.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know its never allowed using a backup of a newer version of iOS for an older or previous one. (iOS 6 backup for iOS 5, 7 for 6, 8 for 7 and now 9 for 8)

8.3 backup should work on 8.4 or 9. You can go down to 8.4 by putting the phone into recovery mode and letting iTunes download and install the latest released public version (8.4 currently).

I did back up. But when I go to iTunes it only shows one backup, which is the 9 backup I did after the 8.4 backup. So it seems like there's no way to go back.

Last time I'll be installing an iOS beta.

You were supposed to archive the 8.4 update. You can still go back, but you'll lose your stuff.
