Interesting. I took a look at it on my phone and I have about 15 minutes of background usage. Looks like FB hasn't fixed this yet.

I have tried mokoto which says it stops the voip background usage but it didn't make a difference for me.

But it is still in beta for iOS 9 so that may change when it is out of beta.

No idea if Facebook++ actually works as I said I can't get a reply from the dev to remove the adds.

I wouldn't mind some background usage but hours worth when I've only used the app for half an hour is a bit much.

Well, the VOIP thing I think would only apply to FB Messenger and not the FB app itself. But I'm only guessing.

FB++ allows you to make certain hidden setting changes, but I haven't used it in a while so I don't know if killing that specific process is possible or not.

Mikoto has the voip settings for both the Facebook app and the messenger app.

So I assume both have some form of voip setting.

I've been watching this for awhile, and also have background turned off. I think it has to do with leaving the apps open in the switcher. FB , Instagram and Google photos all show background time. But it's only when I'm doing something with the app. For example, I open google photos, it starts to back up my photos, but I hit home button, which doesn't actually close the app, it continues downloading my photos ( in the background ) . Settings in facebook and IG allow to disable auto play of videos, I'm wondering if you haven't closed out the app completely and have auto play on, they're somehow still trying to work ( in the background ) I've found that by completely closing out the apps that I can control the amount of background usage. I know that's not how it should be, but it works until they fix it. Also, no FB++ setting to turn off voip, even in employee settings. I just checked

I definitely have auto play turned off.

I thought FB++ did turn the VoIP settings off as it says in the description in Cydia that it disables the VoIP.

I checked every setting. To the best of my knowledge FB++ big advantage was not having to use messenger, which uses voip. It prompts you to downgrade FB to an older version before they split messenger from the actual app. If you don't downgrade, when you click the message icon it pushes you into a mobile browser messenger. Which doesn't use voip. I think this background thing is a internal app problem for Facebook. I think an app that is currently doing something ( uploading or downloading ) will always show background time if you press home instead of closing it completely. At least until it's done as I've noticed with Google photos

I don't use landscape mode on the Springboard so never noticed it.

For you, and anyone else using infinidock on a 6s+, besides being unusable in landscape mode I'm having some other issues. After a respring/reboot it won't scroll to the next dock page anymore. If I long press an icon on the dock as if I'm going to move it, then cancel with the home button is scrolls pages again until I sleep my iPhone with the power button.

Anyone else?

Figured out how to get rid of the Facebook++ ads so have installed that and downgraded to a previous version of Facebook.

Uninstalled messenger as it now has in app messaging. Just need to remember not to update it!

Eclipse 3.0 looks great, money well spent. I'm a bit bummed that Google voice doesn't work well with it, bummed because Google voice has never worked in the past 2 versions. Also 3d touch menu items can't be seen due to dark text on dark background, for example 3d touching a missed call gives you options to call back, text, etc.

You can blacklist apps with Eclipse so that it's not used in those apps.

If you do, you will have to quit the app from the app switcher and then relaunch it before the effect is removed.

This may have been mentioned previously but has anyone had problems with AppleMusicPro? Getting commercials like cray o_O. I know it's not a full release via Tony's Repo...so maybe an update is in-store soon...

Does anyone know of any tweaks that add lyrics to the music app or the control centre? I used to use lyrcalizer but it doesn't work in iOS9

Yes I've done this, but was hoping eclipse would actually work with the app. is there a support page for eclipse?

Just to update my earlier posts.

I installed Facebook++. Downgraded to whatever version of the app it downgrades you too.

Today there's zero change. Facebook is still showing 20 mins usage time 1.4 hours background usage.

I don't use Facebook ++, but my usage for FB is not like yours. The only thing I have done is to turn off background refresh and turn off auto play under photos and videos.

I don't know what's happening.

I have background app refresh off.

I have auto play set to off.

Today it says 41mins on screen 1.5 hours background.

No idea why it's doing it or how to stop it. So I've just uninstalled the app. Will assess via safari.

Someone may have mentioned this before, but I installed "Slide2Kill 9" (.99 cents) and only run it after I close out Facebook app. Seems to take care of the problem. I know you would prefer to use the FB app as it easier than going through your browser, but maybe this could help?

Agreed, I'm pissed I just purchased Tage. Lylac looks almost identical to Tage but with cc/nc being merged together which is exactly what I want.
I have a long (LONG) list of tweaks I've purchased and ended up not using since the first iOS 5 jailbreak. :(

You're using an older version. No settings in the most recent FB++ That's all I can think of.

That, or those settings pertain to messenger, which I don't have installed.
I've noticed a bunch of FaceBook ++ updates in Cydia over the last fee weeks and downloaded them. Perhaps they're not being installed because I'm still on IOS 7?
