iOS 9 PB 2 as daily driver?

Curious to know how things have improved since PB 1.

People were reporting issues such as missing photos/icloud photo libraries becoming corrupt which is alarming.

How is PB2 as a daily driver?

(Yes, I think we're all aware at this point that Betas have issues and are not meant for your primary device)

For me even PB 1 was good enough for daily driver and have been on beta since day one to now. PB 2/DP 4 has been even better (been on DP 4 since yesterday and it's the same as PB 2.)

Your mileage may vary though. Mostly depends what app you use and if they work. Also how upset bugs make you.

It's really a hit or miss situation. For me, no major issues. I've had PB1 as my daily and now PB2. No serious issue other than proactive not working (but iOS 8 doesn't have that, so not a loss) and cannot change my text tone (not too concerned).
Some have had some issues that prevented them from using the device. Others have not. Only way to really know is to try it out yourself. Just ensure you save a backup of iOS 8 in case things don't workout

I have been using my daily driver run on iOS 9 beta since B3, which is same as PB1. As the other poster has stated already, it's really a hit or miss situation. For me, it has been running fine with no major problems so I'm okay with it.

If you really want to try it out back up on iTunes first in case things go wrong.

It's not likely. It's a beta...some people will experience issues while others won't.

Not sure. I haven't done anything but OTA since it was introduced and have never had any of those funky issues some people seem to get. It's been years since I updated or fresh installed via iTunes.

I'm in the "no" camp -- i've run every beta and still feel like iOS 9 is really laggy on my 6 Plus. If i didn't install watchOS 2 i would've gone back to 8.4.

I've seen a lot of reports of the 6+ having issues. My 6 is running perfectly on PB2.

6+ has been a plagued beast since the get go. I'm personally waiting for the 7 to jump into the +. By then I would hope they have it figured out. (6s+ will probably be miles better on performance than today's 6+ But I like to upgrade on redesigns.)

For me its smooth on the air 2 but I noticed a little lag when opening an app for the first time. Also depends on third party apps you use. For me, most of my 3rd party apps I used the most don't work on ios9 so... Its ok on my ipad but I would not recommend it on your phone. My 6+ is still on 8.4 and I will update when the GM version will be out.

No major issues here, but I've encountered a few problems with some 3rd-party apps.
One of the apps I use for development doesn't even start anymore (like a few apps on my phone), and one of my OWN games has a few bugs that I think are on Apple's side.

I've been running it since dev beta 2 on my iPhone 6, and it is fine. The battery life was awful on B2, back to normal on B3 and now on B4 (PB2), it seems to be the normal too. A couple of my apps don't work and airplay is a bit hit and miss on podcasts, but eventually works. I'm happy to keep it on my phone as it is stable. As someone else said - it depends how annoyed you get with the little small things that go wrong. Reading comments on other threads, there are some types of people that shouldn't be allowed near a phone....never mind a beta

PB2 is a big improvement over PB1 imo. It feels much more like a polished product. Performance issues during animations (such as the new window browser) are gone and everything works buttery smooth on my 6+.

Keep in mind some apps may not work properly as they have not been optimized for iOS9 yet. But, such is the life of a beta tester.

Running dev beta on my iPhone 6 since day 1. Apart from early battery issues no problems. Normal beta things like apps not working, but overall quite happy to use as a daily driver. Had a complete phone crash on dev 3, restarted and installed beta 4, everything seems normal now.

I threw it on my iPad to play around with, since my iPad is a less "critical" device. But on my phone? F--- No.

Also, iOS 9 Beta has some performance issues; if they're not worked out I may stay on 8 for a while after the official release. 9 doesn't bring any must-have stuff to the table.

I'm running it on my iPhone 6, no major issues for me, at least one app where I can't tap the buttons at the top of the screen, but it is still usable.

If you have a 6+ (not sure the issue is on the 6), and play full screen landscape only games often, then no. All the landscape only games are broken because of some portrait orientation bug.

PB2 is working much better than PB1. Big issue for me on PB1 was that wifi wouldn't connect at work and some apps like Final Fantasy weren't working. But those work now too, now if only Angry Birds Transformers and Family Guy would work.

PB1 on my Air 2 was as good as 8.4. PB2 is really eating my battery even with all the usual settings turned off and nothing in use other than Safari and Mail. It's stable but I can't have the iPad tethered to a charger full time. Going back to 8.4 (would go back to PB1 if I could...). I don't think PB2 works as a daily driver.

Beta 2 is really good on my iPhone 6. It's very close to ios8.4. The only issues I have are some odd graphic overlay things every once and a while. Nothing too crazy

I have PB2 on my 6+ and it's fairly stable... Obviously the occasional bugs, but I expect that because of the beta. No real issues here, works great as a daily driver.

I have iOS 9 PB2 on my iPhone 5s and I'm experiencing some lagging in app switcher. Other funny thing is I can only change ringtone melody. When I try to change melodies for messages, emails etc. settings crashes and returns me to home screen.
