Just make backups of everything. No Big Deal. I am really enjoying the features of IOS 9, and I enjoy submitting my feedback on any bugs. Try it, but don't complain about finding bugs :p

Curious to know how things have improved since PB 1.

People were reporting issues such as missing photos/icloud photo libraries becoming corrupt which is alarming.

How is PB2 as a daily driver?

(Yes, I think we're all aware at this point that Betas have issues and are not meant for your primary device)
I had mail issues on PB1, but since PB2 i have not found anything wrong yet. I am opening each app one by one, and leaving them without closing and am really happy with it on my iPad Air 1. So much so that im thinking about upgrading my workhorse, the rMini 2. I love the keyboard. Im looking forward to the Public rollout!

I have iOS 9 PB2 on my iPhone 5s and I'm experiencing some lagging in app switcher. Other funny thing is I can only change ringtone melody. When I try to change melodies for messages, emails etc. settings crashes and returns me to home screen.
Hmm, i will try that next to see if i can duplicate.

Yup, I was able to duplicate this exactly on my Air 1.
I just submitted a report
I would have never found that on my own. I'm used to the current sounds and would not be trying to change them lol

To be honest I like the app switcher from iOS 8.4 more rather than one on iOS 9.

It's been my daily driver since PB1. The second beta has been a little bit more unstable. With Messages banner notifications, I will get random resprings when either tapping a banner to reply or swiping it up and away. I won't go into some apps not working, because that's obviously not the beta's fault.

Scrolling is bad
Multitasking is jittery
Animations in general can be jittery
Lots of weird failed attempts at unlocking when I press the home button with my Touch ID fingers
Apple Music has some bugs, but they finally fixed the UI layout under the NEW tab

Overall, it's still a beta, but I'm still living. Only a few annoyances which are more than expected.
We will have a third beta which will smooth things over a lot in a week, so maybe just wait.

Usually, I have not had problems with previous public betas, however I had to go back to 8.4. As others have said, there are small bugs here and there (which were not deal breakers, but I reported them), but the straw that broke the camel's back for me was issues with my Apple Watch. All phone calls started on the watch were being handed off to the phone (or so they would say, as the watch GUI disappeared but the audio was still coming from the watch.) Also, Siri on the watch was becoming insanely slow and hard to am connect to the phone. I might try again with beta 3, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it on your primary phone (or watch paired with that phone).

I'm with you on that as well. I guess I'll get used to it. I pulled the trigger on my rMini and put 9 on it. It is my daily driver but 9 worked so well on my Air that I had to do it. Man I love the stock keyboard.

For me even PB 1 was good enough for daily driver and have been on beta since day one to now. PB 2/DP 4 has been even better (been on DP 4 since yesterday and it's the same as PB 2.)

Your mileage may vary though. Mostly depends what app you use and if they work. Also how upset bugs make you.

I'm wondering if I should reinstall. PB 1 was buggy but manageable. PB 2 is awful. My phones frozen almost every time I unlock it. It's realty bizarre. Apps hang or crash regularly and it's not just a few it's like almost all. I almost regret updating for minimalistic enhancements. I may try a restore to see if it improves. I'm growing slightly concerned that because I was on DP Beta 3 and then installed PB Profile over DP Beta 3 and the switched from Sprint to AT&T and put DP Beta 1 on my iPhone 6 and restored with that backup if that's why my phone seems buggier. I don't know. It's quite annoying however. It's really buggy tho worse than usual. Worse than iOS 7 beta 1 was. That's pretty bad. Any insight? And it is being used on my daily driver and I don't mind it being used on my daily driver I can deal with bugs here and there that doesn't bother me but the consistent freezing every time I unlock and go to do something it doesn't seem like other people on PB 2 are dealing with bugs of that magnitude and I agree that everyone will experience a sight difference when using it but it wouldn't be to an extent where people are saying that its smooth as butter and others are saying how awful it is. Seriously.

Overall PB 2 is stable for daily use.. a few glitches here and there, but nothing major. Only real annoyance I've had is with email. In particular with my yahoo account, it seems to have problems connecting with the server.

I was on PB1 on my daily iPhone (6) since the first day, after installing PB2 I decided to downgrade back to 8.4. I use a bluetooth speaker and the cracking/popping on PB2 became unbearable!

After a clean install of 8.4 I achieved over 9 hours usage / 24 hours standby and made me realise that the beta was truly awful on battery life in comparison!

I've been using it as my daily driver and everything works a little studder here and there but we're talking seconds not minutes like some are saying. However the bad part for me has been battery drain on 3rd party apps for instance if I open words with friends I can watch as the battery drains 1% every 15 seconds it's crazy.

PB 2 is still stable for me. A lot of issue with Apple Music/downloading/playing songs. But other than that, no real show stoppers

For me, I believe iOs 9 to be a refinement of ios 8, so far the PB has been stable with the odd crash. for example pages would'nt sync with the icloud yesterday over 3g, but did on WIFI

The multi-tasking split screen on my ipad Air 2 is fantastic, sure it should’ve cam earlier IOS, but being able to facetime video chat and then look at emails, with safari running also is Multi-tasking !!!
So I’m keeping the PB on my ipad, and maybe will keep it on the iphone 6 + for now.

Update to my previous/above post:

Yesterday when I needed to use maps to get to someone's house I hadn't been to, the Maps app really bugged out. The map showed my current location, however the search bar didn't wanna be activated. It showed my last search. Suddenly my phone restarted, not resprung, because it took about 2 min to come back on instead of 15 seconds. I tried a few more times but it kept bugging out and causing sluggishness among the rest of the device. Normally iOS 9 has been great with the occasional crash but this was strange! I opened up Google Maps and it worked like a charm.

I'm praying that PB 3 comes asap otherwise I'm going back to iOS 8.4. The constant freezing I'm getting every time I go to use anything on my phone is for the birds. Seriously.

I've been using betas for 4 years now and this one is the most unusable one I've had. It freezes lags when switching orientation. Like 5 second delay. It freezes randomly too and I've had to hard restart at least a dozen times in the last few days. Beta 1 was much more stable for me.

I mainly use google maps when I am outside China. Apple maps is still worse than google maps, in many ways.

G**** Chinese government blocks google.

I use beta as my daily driver from iOS 8.4 beta to iOS 9 beta 4. I don't switch between public beta and develop beta.

Currently bugs are pumping out. Status bar becomes virtually invisible when using, say, safari, and news. Weird because I cannot exactly reproduce such intolerable bug.

Spotlight search page becomes black and white, and no search query is able to send. This doesn't affect proactive screen though. I am not playing iPhone with grey scale and invert color.

I really appreciate proactive suggestion. Because it does work great for me. I can even see a "good afternoon" when I use mail app during getting up. Really handy.

Unless bugs are too many, preventing me from using this phone ONLY as a phone, which means making phone call, I would keep it inside, and hope next developer beta could be better.

I'm having no problems with everyday use, I actually updated my Air 2 first to get rid of the annoying bugs in 8.4 which to me were much worse than 9 PB2. I was considering getting rid of the iPad with the horrible rotation sticking issues on 8.4.

I found 9 PB2 to be good enough for normal use and so updated my iPhone 6 and have only found small bugs (like not being able to change sms tone).
