Some sources point to a TI-OMAP issue. I'm waiting to see if custom roms throw Kit-Kat on the Galaxy Nexus. I said when earlier, but maybe they can't. If they do, however, then shame on Google.

Getting in on the GNex will be easy. It really would only be shame on Google if they get it on GNex and running well with out issues.

TBH, I change my phone at least every 2 years on a free upgrade (Doesn't everyone?) so lack of updates to my outgoing phone don't bother me at all.

Some of us sooner than that, hehe. I have an iphone 5s, a LG G2 and I just ordered a Nexus 5. I try and switch every year, but without a contract.

Agreed :) I do the same, my point was though that the normal run of a contract being 2 years sort of nullifies the discontinuation of upgrades. Surprisingly for me I am going to wait a while and read some of the reports about the Nexus 5, my main phone is a SGS4 with a Nexus 4 to see what the latest updates are from Google without having to wait for the awfully slow UK carriers rolling out the Android updates.

Hope you enjoy your new phone and look forward to your thoughts. :)
