Is there a "best way" to do this? Can you point me to some good info on the subject? Thanks.
Basically if doing it without a computer:
Turn off find my iPhone in Settings
Then go to Reset option in the settings app and select Erase All Content and Settings.

The thing is if you don’t really care about losing any data or photos/video then this method is fine.
I have lots of memories and I needed to use iCloud since I don’t have a computer. So I’m stuck with paying Apple 2.99 every month for iCloud service.
Overall, my battery life is great; don’t get discourage when using the first several days because I think it needs to recalibrate the battery life/data. Also drain your battery all the way the first time you do clean restore. I truly believe this helps with the calibration.

Battery life? ******. That's the sad truth. I upgraded to iOS 12.3.1 and it ruined my dear 6s. LTE has come down 2 bars and there's nothing I can do. And it will surely not make me buy a new iPhone. Au contraire. It's slower and battery life has gone crazy. I'm done with iPhones. I'll keep this old fart and that's it. Now, for all of you that iOS 12 have done miracles, please tell me what I've done wrong. I use only Apple apps not even Facebook and Instagram. I thought about wiping the damn thing and starting from scratch.

I installed 12.1.4 on my 6s and never think to upgrade further. The speed is even faster than iOS 10 (never use 11).
