I have already tried all the usual tricks described here and there (background activity apps OFF, iMessages OFF, Siri OFF, BT always OFF, WiFi off/on/off just when need it,... etc.)

I have being doing that always on iOS10 and now on iOS12 (I fully skipped iOS12); and I can state that iOS12 is heavily reducing the battery health of a mostly new iPhone 6S Plus (less than a year).

I would not repeat the whole thread, as this is an open discussion here:

But I think that not only older iPhone generations are affected (like iPhone SE, 6s/Plus) but also last iPhone X 2017 of this iOS12 which consumes by far too much battery and degrades it pretty fast.

:-(

If you're experiencing issues other than degrading battery health like unusual battery percentage drops and rapid battery drain, I'd suggest you get the battery replaced.
I've experienced the issues above even after setting up the iPhone as new after a DFU restore with all the settings configured to be battery conservative. Had the battery replaced about 5 months ago and health went from 100% to 97% in less than a week recently. Lately the percentage dropped in front of my eyes just looking at the screen and would have to charge almost twice a day.
They noticed some unusual spikes in the usage in the diagnostics and offered to replace the battery. Now everything is back to normal with the battery between 60-70% with similar usage after 24 hours.

Which version of iOS 12 has least battery drain?

Given that something like that (battery drain) isn't something that exists for everyone by far, and people have all kinds of different experiences across the board, there's really no particular answer to that kind of a question.

Sorry I meant iOS 12.
