This is why I only buy Anker MIFI Cables They make short cables too or Tech Armor if you want a Braided cable.

It's not about the money, I'm incredibly wealthy.

At the time when the iPhone 5 was first released, the only way to get a 5" black lightning cable was to grab them at the night market in Hong Kong whilst on a business trip over there. If they don't work I'll have to track down new ones as that size and color is what fits best in the console of my new BMW.
