iPad 10W USB Power Adapter + 6' cable?

how do you use such a small cable?

Contemplated a thats what she said joke but refrained..
If im just syncing or charging my phone from my laptop I just use that cable. Also I have a USB external battery and along with the short cable they both can fit comfortably in one pocket, the normal cable is way too long for that.

Do you think the extension cable from a MBP would attach to the power adapter? I have a few of them laying around that I kept when the Magsafe ends quit working.

it seems to match the same pattern of my current 13" MacBook


I got a few laying around also, so I'm hoping.

Oh nice that does look very promising! I have an old macbook charger lying around somewhere. Has anyone tried putting the extension on the original iPhone charger brick? Looks to be the same design as the iPad. Thanks!

Yes ive tried. the ipod charger has a raised bit in it so there is no way to use the extension lead with it . just like the old keyboard extension leads

Hmm interesting, hopefully that wont be the case with the iPad charger.

I've been wondering this, too, about the extension cord, as I've got them from purchases of MBPs and the MBA.......

I really do hope the extension cord comes with the unit it really is useful. I think they will though.

I hope so too. Usually I can get a quick hit off my MBP for my iPhone. However, I plan not to carry my MBP on days I carry my iPad. So, I think we would look pretty silly sitting on the floor in the coffee shop using a short cord

Now if Quirky.com would make a cable management system for the iPad I'd love that!
