for prolonged video chat it would be awkward because you'd be shifting around and making the image a blur for the other person.

Unlike a desktop or laptop that is stationary when being used.

I would like a rear facing camera on the iPad....not because its needed or that I would really use it a lot...but because I think it would be an easy upgrade that people would like to have.

I wonder how much weight would be added to the iPad with 2 cameras in it?

More than likely, when doing long video chats, the iPad will be propped up on something or standing in one of the third party cases. It really won't be any worse than skyping from your laptop.

I'd buy a camera widget that fits into the dock connector.

This could have an adjustible and reversible camera.

It would, of course, mean that 1G iPads would gain camera functionality too.

Reckon this is on the cards?

Built in camera.

Honestly, I feel like a front facing camera would be more than sufficient on an iPad.

Personally, when I'm using my iPad, I have it either in my lap, on a table, or angled towards my face. I think a rear-facing camera would be somewhat difficult and annoying to angle in order to show something in Facetime/whatever.

If the iPad 2 would also be able to open up photos/drawings/files/etc. while using Facetime, i think that would be enough.

I agree with u on the front facing camera. I still want a rear though. I know no one is going to agree with me, but it's cool. I'll live
