iPad Air iPad Air 5 Shipping Thread?

As with others, my iPad Air arrives tomorrow from Ontario, Cal area via UPS. This is the first time a new product that I preordered did not ship directly to me from China. East coast US and Canada items are shipped from an Apple warehouse in Carlisle PA. Apple must be tuning up their supply chain to improve efficiency and lower costs.
 
Mine switched to shipped a few hours ago. Shipped via UPS overnight from Carlisle, PA with a scheduled delivery of tomorrow. This is the first Apple product that I have preordered that hasn't shipped directly from China.
 
Shipped today via UPS Next Day Air from San Antonio, TX. Apple says it will be delivered tomorrow while UPS formerly said Saturday, and now provides no date.

edit: and now the UPS site says it is shipping from Ontario, CA. WTF?

I received the shipping notification email around 8:20 this morning. UPS tracking is still showing tracking number not found. Hopefully that sorts itself out soon and it actually gets here tomorrow!

I think they have these products all ready to go by or before the announcement. It's called logistics and warehousing. Apple wants you to have this in your hand, so they can take your money. My iPhone 13 Pro Max shipped from the US when I preordered it as well.

Probably did. For me, they didn’t for my iPhone 13 Pro. It was shipped directly from FoxConn.

Same on mine. Based on what i've seen in the past it will finally show up later tonight, or tomorrow morning just as the package is loaded on the truck for delivery.
 
Mine is showing shipped from Apple now but the tracking number is still invalid on the UPS page. Hopefully that updates soon.

Nothing showing in UPS My Choice or when tracking by reference.

When UPS actually receives and scans the package into their system, your tracking info will appear.
 
Ok finally got a tracking number and it’s marked as shipped but tracking number hasn't been scanned as there’s no info yet.
 
I messed up smh I had my space gay in the cart got caught with the kids and my doctors apt. I thought I check out I didn’t . Now I’m pushed back to Apr 1-4 smh

Ouch that is a bummer >< I'd say see if you can grab one in person at a best buy or something. *shrug*
 
Looks like mine started in Kentucky and left Kentucky this afternoon. Headed to Florida. Feels like everything is going smoothly.
 
According to my UPS tracking, the iPad is coming from Caledon, Ontario. Which makes sense as i'm in Alberta.

Glad it's coming from Canada and not from the States due to customs, etc.
 
Does anyone know what time in store availability will show up online for tomorrow. It currently just says check back 3/18 but no time.

FINALLY mine updated. Shipping from Louisville KY to Indy. Delivery tomorrow. Safe travels to everyone's ipads :p
 
I purchased mine on Mar. 12 afternoon and the shipping date says Mar 29-April 4. I'm hoping it'll ship sooner than the expected date.
 
Mine now says:

"Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery. / The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city.
ZhengZhou, China Mainland"

Hopefully, it will still arrive by the originally scheduled March 22.
 
Ugh. I got a notification that "severe weather" has delayed delivery and had to be diverted. ?‍♂️ Awaiting new delivery date. Anyone else going through the same thing? Also, am I looking at a Saturday or Monday delivery?
