Well, seeing as I barely use neither my iPad Pro 11 LTE nor my Beats Studio 3's I bought for half price this year, I guess it depends on YOUR usage.

Do you have an iPad and how often do you use it? Do you listen to a lot of music?

Also bear in mind, the AirPod Max are a gen 1 product....

I don't see the problem, buy the iPad now,
and by the time the Airpods max ar available again in a few months you already saved the cash for that

I know these are totally different, but the base iPad Air is the same price from the education store. Please don’t think about devices you already have or need. What would you choose? Let’s say if this was a free gift and you can select one.

Just buy some ETFs, don't just spend money for something you don't even need just because you have it lying around.

Last I checked , iPods were a different thing altogether. It would be fun though seeing someone with a bunch of iPods attached to a headband.

I’m into music and sound quality so I would go for AirPods Max. If you’re not then go for the iPad.

That's your opinion based on this video. I generally don't watch videos from this guy. He doesn't compare them to anything else by the way. A much more trustworthy guy in the headphone community is DMS.

Again, as I said, they "are crap for the price in terms of sound quality"

You can go to YouTube and find videos to support any side of an argument. Like everything else you have to try things for yourself.
