I'm one of those planning to sell my rMini (actually it's for sale right now). I'm thinking I can do everything I needed to do with my mini on my 6+.

Now down the road I'm planning to get a small notebook or MBAir for more productive use.

I tried using the iPad, but there are always cases where it just doesn't cut it.

For me 6+ and ultrabook of some sorts will be the perfect setup!

I have a 5.2" screen. My wife has an iPad Mini.

Those people who say the 6+ and the Mini are about the same are delusional.

Hi all,

So I'm having a bit of an internal struggle. I'm getting the iPhone 6 Plus, and I have an iPad Air currently. I'm having a difficult time justifying keeping my iPad once I have my iPhone. I currently have an Android phone, and originally bought an Android tablet and ended up selling it because it was essentially just a bigger version of my phone. I wanted something different so I bought the iPad. Now that I'm getting the iPhone, I'm thinking I will feel the same way with the iPad. I'm aware the screen size difference is still substantial, but aside from that can anyone who has both, or used both, give me any reason to hold on to my iPad? Basically, what can my iPad do that my iPhone won't be able to? I don't want to regret selling it, but I also just don't think I'll need it. Thanks!

The logical answer is to keep your iPad and don't waste your money on a huge overpriced phone.

I'd say between iPad Air and iPhone 6 plus, it would depend on your usage.

For me, I would definitely take iPad Air (2014 version, if they will announce one) since it is relatively cheaper than iPhone 6+. It has bigger screen, more powerful CPU, and hopefully bigger RAM & touch ID. If I were to get iphone 6+, my reason would be the big screen it has. iPad Air having even bigger screen at lower cost, why should I bother with iPhone 6+?

Of course we cannot ignore iPhone 6+ integrated phone capabilities but I can buy a cheap phone for that functionality or maybe iphone6 4.7" if I have spare money.

I ordered the 6+ last Friday morning. I decided to cancel it last night. My budget allows a new Air or the iPhone. Decided I'd rather have the next Air.

Using the ipad 3, which is still running fine. My niece was happy i cancelled the iPhone, because she gets the 3 when I upgrade. :)

I sold my barely used iPad Air to pay for my 6+. I figure if I 'need' an iPad, I'll wait for the new ones to come out and buy one of them.

I use my iPad Air for University lectures and for sending emails to clients, personally I couldn't see myself using the 6 Plus full time for work.
Although I guess with certain other tasks people might find a 6 Plus that they can carry in their pocket a lot better than the iPad Air/iPad Mini? To me though I don't think my iPhone would ever replace my iPad for productivity.

I agree with you Alex, completely. I run a company with 14 employees totally from my iPad. For me the iPad allows me to be in the face of our distributors more often, it's incredibly powerful once you understand your way around it.

I am also using the iPad 3, so the step up to the new air is going to be insane. Performance benchmark tests show the iPad Air is over 5 times more powerful than the iPad 3, can't wait to see what the new Air 2 will produce.

I've made the decision to sell my ipad air to raise $ to get the 6 plus. it's worth it to me. I'd just leave my air at home anyway

I won't replace my iPad with any iPhone:D ; hence would always have both. Am upgrading to i6 not sure which yet, also retiring my iP3 for Air 2 nxt month!

You simply underestimate the capabilities of the iPad, I can assure you it will be missed ( regret is a very strong word):)

Currently selling my iPad Air and my iPhone 5S in order to get the 6+, and even though I love the iPad, I can live without it. Especially with a 6+ and a MBP.
Why not give your iPad to those one of your family member huh?
Or maybe you just sold your iPad to eBay or something like that making your self your getting poor and also starving.
I'm pretty sure you will regret it, especially selling your iPad to buy One of the nonsense things such as Make up routines, tanning lotion, whitening products, starbucks coffee.

Well NoBoDy CaReS about what coffee are you drinking, buying hair products, and such. If all of those suddenly disappears and you will live another day realizing that your iPad is not with you anymore because of those NONSENSE products you buy that nobody cares about what you're eating, drinking, beauty products ayyyyy!!! gaga.

If you are really productive, you will realize that original coffee from bending machine is what you needed than Starbucks everyday being expensive, and one of your family member will ask Where is your iPad??? Then you will say "Oh i have lost it" because if you say You sold it they will think you are getting POOR
