Call the apple store at Bridgeport plaza. They have a few in stock. Just picked up a 16gb version today.

I called them just now and they have run out. What time did you go and buy? Probably I will go around that time.

I bought mine Monday afternoon, however, I will say that when I called the store earlier in the day, they had all 3 in stock, but were out of the 16 GB ones by the time I got there and they only had 7 left of the 32 GB ones.

But they have gotten new stock in each day.

What I am really having trouble getting is the stupid Apple case for the iPad! They cant keep those in stock near me for whatever reason.

Thanks for the help Grinded and Presha. Yea, I'm on the fence. I'd like to go over there and play with one for a little bit and see if I want to take the plunge. I already have an iPhone and an iMac and am trying my damned hardest to justify a purchase. lol I'm an artist and I like the idea of sketching on it. So that might help push me over the edge.

Play with it. You may or may not be pleasantly surprised. I kind of wanted want. Then I played with it, now I am obsessed with getting one. I may actually begin to read books again because of this thing. Also, I am kind of in the same boat. I got a uMBP, iPhone, iPod, PS3, and don't necessarily have a need for this device, but it seems like a different category of device that would fit in with my gadget collection quite nice (I am sort of a geek, but not a dork or nerd.....just a geek).

Keeping an eye on your local Best Buy or Apple Authorized Reseller might be a good way to sneak by the crowds.Putting the I-pod and I-pad to work to increase their functionality. That's what I'm talking about.

I got the last iPad from my Best Buy store on the April 4th before they sold out. A 32GB just like I was looking for. :p
