$350 for a Surface Go a good deal?
This is without the keyboard and the pen, right? It's not a bad price, but you'll need the keyboard cover and I think the pen is absolutely necessary to get the most out of it.

which one? If that's the entry level model, then it is an "ok" deal, but the specs are not very good for a Win 10 tablet.

Although I've owned a few chromebook sin the past, getting a Pixelbook really changed how and what I do with chromebooks... even for serious work.I didn’t read most of the thread but wanted to write that I had to buy a Chromebook for one of my kids. I bought the Google Pixelbook and it really changed the way I regard Chromebooks.
That machine is fast, thin, lightweight, aesthetically beautiful and a joy to use. For casual use, that machine could be ideal.
I would also be interested in your experience if you get a Surface Go as I'm also considering a Surface.

Both will serve your needs well. I think the iPad would be more portable and worth more at the three year mark for resale. But, as mentioned, we are a bit biased here.
