The FB developers could bring an app to the iPad, but currently accesses flash games, web content is not supported on the iPad, or iPT/iPhone.
Don't you think whoever created Farmville might come out with an Ipod/pad app that interfaces with Facebook?... and charge a small amount of $ for the app. Worked pretty good for Scrabble. I think they'd be pretty dumb if they didn't.
Eh... You can use Safari on the iPad to use facebook.... it will automatically go to the mobile version of facebook but you can select full site at the bottom of the mobile facebook site... then you can play the games... and other features!!
The OP didn't say that it would be the end of the world. I think he just said that it would suck. There's a difference.

I find the Facebook apps to be a lot of work for both me and my iMac--lol But I do play the vampire app on my iPhone and it seems to work really well--so you would think they would do a similar version of FV and some of the other Flash-only apps.
I'm fairly certain you can do it through the site (in Mobile Safari) and you can most certainly do it in the Facebook app.

You can use chat from the iPhone app.
Facebook is enjoyable, handy, and a nice way to keep up with old friends, but those goofy games are inane and the posts from friends about their progress in those games are like finger nails on a chalkboard.
That having been said, I am clearly well beyond the sweet spot of age for Facebook in general and the games for sure.

well, there is a hide option, whenever u see a game post, just mouse over the top right corner of that post and click the X to hide all messages from that game.
i guess if there's no flash, there's no farmville! lol oh well, at least i can play mafia wars hahaha.........just don't understand why steve won't allow it, that blue lego box sucks......he says it's battery life, but why don't he just let us decide if we want to use flash??? i got an outlet to plug in!!!
Indeed, Steve. Ironic that the Mac was "launched" with a commercial that resembled 1984 and Apple "BREAKING" that image and yet in 2010, Apple represents big brother in that they want to control how and what you view. That is, if you buy into their ecosystem. Clearly they aren't making anyone do anything
Thank you! I had just recently figured that out. I know, pretty lame, but I am an extremely casual facebook user. My post was kind of snotty anyway (sorry).. the games are not lame if people enjoy it. I certainly enjoy some seemingly inane things myself.
