It is fascinating that he felt compelled to make such a bizzare comment in a thread (and forum) about a mobile device anyway. I would suggest he take his comment to AVSForum, but I am pretty sure most of them would just laugh at him.

OP: I really enjoyed watching Earth on my IPAD while in bed.

VWR: I can not do my critical viewing on such a low resolution screen.

[How this is relevant is way beyond everyone else on the thread but VWR]

VWR Clarification: I do all my critical viewing on a projector.

[Most people find this continuing discussion about critical viewing to be irrelevant and believe bringing a projector that would have to cost 10x the ipad cost (at a minumum) to be really bizzare]

I fail to see how you can possibly compare a high quality projector that requires an idealized viewing environment for adequate performance to a guy in bed with his iPad.

I have an IPS 16:10 display already, not my ideal display for watching videos on though (as a consumer, great for work though).

Say what? Don't care about HD numbers and all that lol I enjoy a very good image on my iPad which looks great to me so that's all that matters

I'm thinking of reactivating my Netflix subscription now.

The iPad actually made me reactivate my account. I used to try to watch movies on my iPhone but didn't always work but with the iPad and it's "semi 720P" non "critical" viewing capabilities I'm sure I will enjoy viewing movies.

Help ripping Earth

Disney Earth is something I've wanted on my iPad since I bought it.
I'm having a hell of a time ripping it tho.
Handbrake mixes up the chapters and it doesn't play right.
If anyone could let me know the procedure for ripping it, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

The iPad has an amazing display. Good blacks etc. But pixel wise it's nowhere near 720p.
