Well after opening about 4 tabs of Gizmodo, images begin to stop loading and when I switch tabs the pages must refresh. This is getting quite annoying.

But hey, I must not be using the Internet right, right?

Seems that 4 tabs of anything that it then has to start refreshing. Opening four tabs of this forum does the trick. BUT WHO USES FOUR TABS?? I need to learn to use this interweb thing!

though tbh that website has a disgusting ammount of images on it.

to much for little ol' iPad, bless him.

The ultimate web surfing experience? No.

I love my ipad, but when I was on a image-heavy page I was greeted by a series of little blue boxes. Very disappointing. I bet another stick of 256 mb would cost them another 5 dollars or something to include.

Stick? The RAM is on the chip.

i run into this issue quite frequently... mostly on forums, where everyone is posting pics. So, the adage that it shouldn't work and that the sites shouldn't be made that way doesn't stand up for me. You can't always manage or dictate the # of images on a page. Safari on the iPad should be able to handle it.

This happens to be my main gripe with the iPad, of which I have 2 (a 32 3G for me and a 16 wifi for the wife)

I just did a side by side comparison with my iPhone 4 and my iPad loading that site with all the pictures and the iPad was much faster. Tested on my 20mb broadband.
