your personal issue with BB is specific at your store. You can't use your incident for generalizing that all BB are bad.

Dude, you're the one who phrased it as a question in your top post:

now the question is which place is better to buy?

Now you're going to try to call me on having an opinion on your question based on my experiences?

Your thread is annoying because you appear to have some sort of strange agenda. You're not really interested in people's opinions on the subject, you're just trying to get support for your specific viewpoint of "FedEx drivers will break the iPad, ergo Best Buy is better." Since this is obviously irrational fear and your mind is made up anyway, this thread serves no actual purpose except for you to try to convince people that FedEx drivers are evil. Again I say: you don't need anyone's permission to go to Best Buy. You're not interested in the opposing viewpoint, so just do it.

i'm getting mine at best buy. less lines and I have a gift certificate. if they sell out, i don't mind waiting until the 11th.

Less lines? Yea right, there won't be as many people but there will be enough to sell out before they even open, good luck

This post is supposed to be fun discussion. you just bring your personal and emotional frustration at BB and personal attack on me for not agreeing with u.

you don't have to wait for the Fedex guy until noon. or he might drop your precious a few times trying to unload the truck beforee lunch.

I might just cancel my preorder, or at least the case.

Personally, I would stick to the Apple preorder and you don't really have to wait, just arrange with the local FedEx office to pick it up there. If you prearrange, you can usually just go there when it opens and pick it up before it even gets on the truck.

Uh huh. Next time post these disclaimers ("I am not interested in your personal opinion on this subject") at the top of your thread and save us some time.

Getting mine at best buy because their warranty covers accidental damage. So near the end of the warranty I can smash the iPad, and get the latest version of the iPad. Unethical? Yes. But bestbuy deserves it

Planning to go at 7am, hopefully 3 hours is enough time.

you still don't get it. I never question your opinion until.... it is your attitude and negative and personal attack that I questioned.

dropping/kicking a box is much easier than dropping/kicking a pallet weighing half a ton.

So your Apple Store has a warehouse attached in the back with forklifts running around and staked 1000lb. pallets of merchandise in it? :D That must be one monster Apple store and largest in the world.

is this true?

Considering the volume that they'll see in the foreseeable future it would be quite likely they're receiving shipments on half-width pallets handled by a hand truck.

I agree with some of the above posters about the problem of buying Apple products from BB.

For me the worst is that BB will try to wrangle you into signing up for their program which uses the Geek Squad for repairs. The problem is that they do not have the Apple expertise that their counterparts at an Apple store or Apple Retailer will have. The Geek Squad has to work on Dells and Toshibas and Asuses etc. The people in an Apple store work only on Apple their training and skills are therefore more focused.

If you buy from BB and expect to get it serviced there, think again. It won't really happen.

Even if you buy it at Best Buy, you can still take it to an Apple store if you have problems with it. It doesn't matter where you buy your Apple products. As long as they are still in warranty, the Genius Bar will take them. They don't ask where you bought them.
