So I figured Id buy some apple products cause you only live once ya know and I know people with tons of apple stuff so I started to feel like I was missing out. To be honest I mainly bought an ipad because of procreate and people saying the apps work better over a Samsung tablet. I really love my s21 ultra phone and to be honest I feel like the apps on my Samsung phone usually work just as good if not better having more features and even a better layout. Still getting used to the iPad and am still considering getting a MacBook Pro 16 inch cause again yolo. But I have the strange feeling that windows pc will at the end of the day have more versatility for gaming streaming and other content creation and hardware I use especially without buying dongles: I’m just starting to think maybe I should have stayed in Samsung and windows ecosystem: I can afford both but still. I feel like I’m forcing apple a bit. I recently quit gaming however the apps I still use to watch twitch and YouTube so far seem to work better on my s21 Ultra

You bought a product because you felt like you were missing out... I think you set yourself up for failure there because there was an unrealistic expectation that you made.

You mentioned a "better layout" but that's subjective. For you better probably means what your familiar with so yes the Samsung will have this. It can be a pain trying to switch platforms so sometimes it's just easier to stick with what you know. I have an android work phone and it's not something I can't figure out but I don't like it as much because I can use iOS without thinking.

You want to buy a 16" MacBook Pro "for gaming streaming and other content creation"... Why? Streaming games could be done with a PC from the thrift store and what content do you create? Do you have a YouTube channel? Since you mentioned dongles are you talking about a used MacBook Pro? You don't really need them as much with the new ones.

From your post it seems like you have money burning a hole in your pocket and nothing wrong with that but at least think before you spend so much. If you must get a Mac consider a Mac mini. Even the base model is plenty powerful enough and probably less than 1/4th the price of a 16" MacBook Pro. It also has more ports than the MacBook Pro.

Your comment "the apps I still use to watch twitch and YouTube so far seem to work better on my s21 Ultra" confuses me a little bit. I haven't messed with Twitch in a while but what app are you using for YouTube on the iPad and how is it better on the S21? I just watch in a web browser with my iPad. Do you mean the video looks better on the S21 screen?

Nothing like listening to asmr videos on my buds pro while playing league of legends on my phone. I can't get my ipad pro to play videos in a little floaty window...

On all your chores. If you bought it already.
My opinion is that it's a nice device, you can try it for some routine activity.
Having iPad literally for YouTube at night, and sometimes as 2nd display for Mac

And about "better apps performance": sure thing, x64 CPU isn't a joke. BUT!
On iOS/iPadOS developers could grind more profits, as well as put higher prices because you can't pirate apps, or use open source (mostly) either installing apps directly or saving old versions for further use

Relatable, you can't log or measure app activity so developers could do a small spy or sort of via update.
(always been wondering why should I install an update if the changelog is empty or "improved performance and security")
Even if they will be exposed, then "sorry, we didn't mention it because bla-blah" – stories can be found on the Internet.
On Android it is easier to monitor and control background app activity.

Youtube picture in picture is soon to be released so you will be able to do both.

I have a Windows machine for gaming and it's very nice. If I didn't game I do not know what I would use it for over my Apple stuff (IPP and MBP).

Here's a secret: Install all the google apps you need and your iPad becomes the best Android tablet money buy. Files manages all your cloud stoage at once, Google Photos will backup from the iPad and you can run Chrome as the default browser. There will be very few Android apps you cannot get on iPad OS.

The best part is you also get access to those great iPad apps that make the device so versatile: iMovie, Procreate, Pixelmator etc etc.

You can also go the opposite direction and load it up with all the Microsoft apps you want and turn it into a Windows tablet.

Pretty much, yep. I actually think Microsoft's iOS/iPadOS software as well as their web-based software is approaching a level where it's nicer to use than the Mac/PC versions. I would never cough up the money out of my own pocket for an Office subscription, but I certainly don't mind using it on my Apple devices when work is paying for it. OneNote with the Apple Pencil is especially nice.

I don't have much nice to say about Google software, so I'll just zip it in that regard, but yeah, you can totally build an amazing Google tablet with an iPad.

i also noticed the ipad pro has noticeable vibration from the speakers. makes it feel hollow and cheap that you can feel the sound reflecting throughout it. I work with professional audio on a daily basis and the speakers have noticeable tonality coloration problems. I didn't even pay attention to the sound of my s21 ultra but im sure it sounds better. ipad pro speakers probably the worst sounding device i have. I highly recommend y'all get samsung galaxy buds pro. They are some of the best sounding IEMs on the market. im still keeping it and still plan to buy a macbook pro as well. still the ipad pro is a bit weird. i like the apple pencil and its performance is fast. ive already had a few page rendering issues with safari that made me install chrome to try to fix it. ill get used to it all i guess. not terrible. just kinda funny i bought a 1,000 dollar device for a 9 dollar paint program (procreate). I'm just a little surprised that the apps aren't as optimized as people said they were vs samsung's android devices.

This is part of the big myth that lives in the Apple world, where people believe that Android apps are mostly unoptimized and blown up phone apps, when this is true mainly for a few (but very popular) apps (like a couple of big social media apps), when basically all Google and Microsoft apps, as well as most of the typical tablet apps (streaming, TV, cloud storage, newspaper apps, browsers, mail etc) are all just as good as on iPad or have equivalent apps that are just as good (e.g note taking), optimized and fully featured.
Some apps don't have counterparts though, either in terms of quality (typically music apps, also for historic reason, Android used to suck in terms of latency) or price (procreate is cheap, while clip studio pro is subscription based).

This guy is just trolling, right?

- Claims the S21 has better speakers, but hasn't "paid attention to the sound of my S21"
- Claims to have page renderings with Safari, installs another browser that uses the same exact rendering.
- Quit gaming by plays league of legends

S21 does sound better. Ipad pro has noticeably shouty fatiguing mids. The treble clarity is abysmal since its nasty mid focused which is very typical of cheap speakers. you don't notice speakers that sound reasonably good. You notice funky speakers.

iPad Pro displays YouTube and a few other websites in a clunky way with missing features.

Gotta test the performance somehow what better way than with video games.

I noticed when looking at the tab s8 a few months ago that people showed its performance was worse than ipad pro m1. so ipad pro does still have its benefits. also procreate lol. it's different and that's mainly what i wanted. but my god as soon as i pick up my s21 ultra im a lot faster and more efficient with it. maybe because ive been using it for a year and this is my first apple experience. im still not that impressed though especially with the speakers and some of the clunky apps. besides that im pretty happy with the ipad pro. my phone don't play though. even has a s-pen that apple phones dont support. the bigger screen than my phone is also fairly nice but not really needed. phone is so small and nice to hold vs a giant ipad. the 12.9 inch is wayyyy too big for holding and gaming on in my opinion. glad i got the 11 inch.

Just relistened to the speakers on my S21 Ultra vs IPad Pro 11 inch. IPad pro has more bass I guess could also be why it vibrates more throughout the device. The treble clarity is the main issue. The S21 Ultra has much better treble clarity. The IPad Pro is actually very hard to hear intelligibility due to the treble loss. Basically iPad Pro is all mids and bass while S21 Ultra is all treble and mids. I'd rather have treble and mids so I can actually hear voices and speech intelligibility. I literally felt like I was going deaf when I was listening to things on the IPad Pro i could barely make out what people were saying due to the lack of treble clarity.

As a 25-year Apple-only user, I’ve upgraded my 2018 iPad Pro (which I’ve mostly loved) to the 14.9” Galaxy Tab… overall, I’m liking Android more than iOS. It’s much more open and extensible, and I find it more intuitive. When I’m searching for a deep system preference, I find it much faster on Android. That said, the Galaxy Tab is definitely not as fast as the iPad Pro in high-intensity tasks, such as 3D models within Clip Studio. But as far as user interface goes, I’m very impressed with Android (so far). And it feels miraculous that I can plug my tablet into my monitor, and it actually shows up with a full screen. ?

Do your self a favour and get something like a Fiio K1, Cyrus sound key, dragonfly black etc USB C DAC and play your audio through some decent headphones. Even AirPods Pro will sound better than iPad speakers.

If you are having difficulty understanding speech, you may have difficulty hearing in general. I have never had any trouble understanding speech on any iPad I've owned or used, much less the quad speakers of an iPad Pro.

On the left are audio equipment with poor treble quality. You can see it goes below the 0dB line or is very lumpy. The left is Apple AirPod Pros and Sennheiser HD650. The iPad Pro has similar treble to the ones on the left

On the right are audio equipment with exceptional treble quality. They are Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and Beyerdynamic DT990 which have brighter, clearer, more intact treble. If you aren't tone deaf you will notice the difference in treble quality. The S21 Ultra has treble similar to the ones on the right

There is nothing wrong with Android as an OS. I was never really that into the customisation of Android. It always seemed like everyone was trying to get their phone to look like a Pixel: ie they craved the homogeneity IOS already has.

I didn't comment on the treble quality, though. These charts don't clearly express the discernibility of speech, which you specifically commented on. I have no problem hearing speech with my AirPods Pro, either. Again, don't interpret this as my saying AirPods Pro have exceptional treble quality. I'm not commenting on that.

speech frequencies are basically constricted airflow created by your mouth which raises in frequencies. fundamental frequencies are low register frequencies going from your lungs which is the warmth of the human voice. as it travels up through your nech and head it creates harmonics like a instrument getting higher and higher in frequency. Above 4kHz is treble and articulation.
headphone.jpg

sensitivity_main_chart.jpg

A proper headphone or IEM will have a treble lump rising from 4kHz to 9kHz.

OP - if you're not liking your iPP I hope you're still within your return window or can otherwise recoup what you spent on it to get something more to your liking.

The DT990 has terrible treble peaks (like most Beyerdynamics) and is virtually unlistenable without EQ.

Treble spikes go away after a few weeks as the pads get worn. audiosciencereview is a awful website that knows very little about audio. Which is hilarious based on how much money amir spends to "review" audio equipment and doesn't know basic things like pad wear.
