I think they'll implement them in some sort of widget form, like when you double-click the Home Button for multitasking in the space above the multitasking dock there will be a customizable space for widgets.. that would be awesome.

Edit: Either what I said or this:

I mean imagine iPhone's multitasking, but instead of the iPhone implementation why not use a more Exposé style (kinda like Safari's tabs on iPad) where all the apps pop up on screen.
