iPad is haunting my dreams..

Since I played with one on vacation in downtown Charleston, I have went from having no reason to buy an iPad, to thinking about them everyday and wanting one more and more.

Is this normal?!? LOL.

I would mainly just be using it for a book reader, and browsing the internet at home.

I work in IT at a college, are there any iPad specific apps that would make my work life easier to help justify having it?

I had the same exact feeling. Eventually gave in and bought one. Same thing happened when my friend used it, haha. If you can afford it, get it. Just know, it's not necessarily a device you "need" but it's a device that is really enjoyable to use. I'm a student and it has replaced my laptop.

Since the begining of this month i've had about 4 iPad related dreams. Something is wrong with me lol.

Its not uncommon for people to dream about things they want or a goal they wish to achieve. Especially when its something you want, you tend to think about it often, that gets translated into your unconsciousness. Sweet Dreams...

Is there any other reason's other than ease of browsing from couch, an E-reader, and other small things that would help me justify this purchase?

I realized a week or two ago when some others asked the same question, that that is the wrong approach. If you're asking yourself reasons to justify it, you want it.

The real joy of the IPad, if you ask anyone here, is how YOU will find ways to justify it. It is incredibly flexible, there are a ton of apps to get the IPad to do what you want, and if there isn't, maybe that's a hint...

Trust me, get one, and you'll find less & less reasons to fire up the laptop. Whatever shortcomings it may have, you'll enjoy finding ways to circumvent them & feel proud about yourself.

You want one, you work hard, that's all the justification you need.

I 2nd that. Initally, I said to myself, it is an enlarge ipod touch. But When I get my hand on one on launch day. my thought was "Steve, you got me!" next question is, 32 or 64GB

Join the club. I went from "Oh this is a silly idea, just a large ipod touch" to "I HAVE to have one now!" when I actually played with one.
