While I will admit that a book-like touchscreen unit could be interesting, that thing looks hideous. The iPad gets a lot of things right and size is one of them. At 5.5 pounds and as big as the Kno is, I think a laptop may serve you better than this. Just my opinion.

God that thing is gross. I think the ipad is the perfect mobile size, I don't wanna lug around two fourteen inch screens... And I think the nylon holding the screens together is a horrible idea.

Wow I thought it was actually a joke till the PC World video. That thing is just horrible.

Maybe the iPhone is the iPad killer:

See this story.

Maybe iPhone 4 is just too good ;) Normally I'd dismiss this type of story because it's from a typically PC site. But Tom's has been more and more pro-Mac in the past couple of years.

Apparently to the uninformed, anything with a touchscreen is an iPad killer.

I don't kno if this device will find a market. I do know it is not aiming at the same market the iPad is. They have several details to work out. The screen needs to be anti-glare, for one. Their 360 degree seat-belt hinge may be durable, but it'll get dirty fast and quickly detract from any grace the product delivers when new. It'll also need to perform as reliably as a textbook. It should work while being charged. It should never crash, for any reason. No student has every needed an extended warranty for their textbooks, or had to send one in for repair. THAT will be their biggest technical challenge.

Maybe the model holding it is just really small?

The size in itself isn't a total killer, but the weight is.

Plus imagine leaving a pen, or a coin etc, in it when you close it up... smashtastic.

Is that suppose to be a spoof or is it for real? I mean the thing looks ridiculous and awkward + plus the really bad name "Kno," pronounced "know," but people will think "NO!"
