No matter how you put it, the MK is great but the price is too steep ( I have it, I love it, but I am well aware it’s overpriced.

the pencil might be the right price if it was 100. Up the margin there is smaller so I can understand.

I dont care how impressive it looks inside. In Canada the Magic Keyboard is $400! Nope, no way lol. I got one with my used iPad Air, basically for free, and I do love it, but still would never pay anywhere near what they're asking for it

The keyboard is super nice but not $350 nice.
I like it though. I just wish it was about $200-250 for the 13-inch.

While I do have the MKB for my iPad and use it daily, I feel it’s vastly overpriced. Granted, I purchased my MKB refurbished from Amazon. But $300 is too much, though we’re all used to Apple prices if we’re purchasing their products.

That’s the Apple tax for us to try to use the iPad as laptop replacement. You can replace the device, but never replace the price paid to Apple.

If not there were cheaper alternatives if you wanted a keyboard….oh wait.
it’s not the Apple tax, is people wanting the best hance purchasing the MK.

You can hide yourself into the “but the seamless integration” or “” the extra usb iI might gain”, reality is, there are very few good options (Logitech might be one) but many people prefere to get Apple.
No one is forcing you to, but it’s not s tax, it’s what you are willing to spend.

I have an 11 with mob, never saw it as a laptop, never will, it’s a great device capable of doing most of the laptop things, but a lot more stuff the laptop cannot to.

Slapping a Keyboard into an iPad is not pretending it’s a laptop, iot’ giving some laptop functions (as typing), but if you want a laptop get a laptop.

I’m sorry, the Logitech isn’t comparable. It is much thicker, the keys are mushier and the trackpad doesn’t work as light and solid. Then the kickback stand isn’t that solid and it is rather deep when the keyboard and kickstand are opened. And it feels cheaper.

I really don’t understand why apple isn’t making the folio keyboard for the m4’s. It was a horrible compromise in many ways, but one that fitted my case perfectly.
