No, the one you got is different. It doesn't provide ANY protection to the top or bottom of the iPad ... worthless.

?? So you meant smartcase then.

Not really sure how you figure this coupled with a smartcover is worthless and provides zero protection.

THIS is not a Smart Cover, I said nothing about a Smart Cover. The most vulnerable part of an iPad is the bottom part, and this leaves it wide open and exposed. Additionally the top is exposed, as well as the volume and power buttons. Compared to the SpeakEasy Coverbuddy, this provides VERY LITTLE protection. I bought it and returned it.

wish it had a cutout for a smart cover too :-(

I was simply pointing out that it does in fact contain a cut-out for the smart cover. No, this back cover isn't for hard-core damage protection, but it will keep the back free from scuffs and scratches and the compatible smart cover takes care of the front. I wanted something thin, light, and unobtrusive. I did not want my buttons covered. Without an insurance plan I would have purchased something with greater protection.

He was referring to the Incipio NGP, not the Poetic case you bought.

Perhaps, but reading post #66 begs to differ, which is where my confusion to his responses came from. Either way, I did not mean to derail this thread.

Got my Incipio NGP case a week ago. Fit is spot on & lets the ipad keep its thin form. A case for someone who needs something simple but overall light & thin. The case is good enough to prevent scratches & dents from minor falls but the screen is open for business. Good for now but I plan on getting something like a GumDrop case later on if they come out with one that fits & made for the iPad mini retina.

Is really silly with all the cases listed which are not proven to specifically fit the iPad retina.

Despite what some of the descriptions say (and pictures show) on the Amazon page, many of the cases have been updated to work with the retina mini. The Poetic case is a prime example.

The nuud case hasn't been updated yet. The Otterbox Defender has, and I've seen it in stores. The FitFolio does NOT fit, however - and it's being replaced by the StyleFolio that does.

I received the Poetic Slimline off Amazon this week. It's a great case and a great value at $12.95.

I just remembered that I STILL haven't received my SPIGEN Tough Armor.

Anybody get theirs yet? Any updates or reviews on cases?

I'm surprised know one has made an iPad mini case that looks similar to the official iPhone 5s leather case.

Moshi Versacover

Just received my Moshi Versacover for the rMini, and liking it a lot. I had experience with this cover for the iPad 3, but think the design fits the mini even better. On the 3, the larger size meant it really took up more table space when folded that it should. On the mini, when folded, very little table space is needed.

Plus:
One of the very few cases that allows a portrait mode too.
Like the way the magnet on the case holds the cover in place when folded completely back.
Nice fit.

Minus:
Not a big deal, but I do prefer cases with "infinite" angle adjustability.
Moshi has kind of an odd selection of colors. But the Blue looks great on the white mini.

I got my devicewear ridge today and anker screen protector and am very happy with both.

Poetic Covermate Rock edition. $15 and perfect, IMO. Pictures do not do it justice.

Clamcase Pro for Mini

Order site just went up. I think I will order one. I do not always use a keyboard case, but when I do I really like the Clamcase approach.

Does anyone know of an iPad Mini Retina case where the front cover folds around completely flat to the back, easily held that way with one hand without anything flapping around, and--here's the kicker--has an opening on the front cover that aligns with the opening for the camera on the back cover, so you can easily take pictures when holding it that way?
