Most will have a $10 access fee, but if you argue it, they will take it away. I have never paid an access fee since being with Sprint for the past 4 years. There will be like 5 bucks or so in taxes/fees a month though.

Id rather have my iPad fully cellular though. Just my opinion of course.
Meh, I hate dealing with customer service. Besides, given I've got 4 iPads on my plan, doubt Verizon would be willing to waive the $40 line access fees.

For me, LTE or not depends on price point and target usage. My primary iPad (typically top capacity) has always had LTE since the iPad 3. So will the upcoming purchase of a Pro 12.9 256GB whenever the new model hits. And really, if I'm getting an LTE model, I'll be going with Verizon.

Verizon would be my choice if I didnt live in the most congested area of the country. Im in Rhode Island. Sprint is literally half the cost and I never have not had good service. From DC to Boston is are trips I make all the time. Never had an issue.

I doubt they would be willing to wave the 40 also. I only have 1 iPad hooked. 3 phones... so... yea... LOL.

Just want to say that the iPad mini 4 is incredibly fast considering his age. It's almost as fast as my iPhone 7. Can't see in everyday usage noticeble differents! I'm so happy of it but i'm also sad considering that will be the last iPad mini produced and I'll be somehow forced to the 9.7 iPad..

Awesome to hear the satisfaction from yet another iPad mini user. Would be a travesty to not keep this form factor - current and updated as well.

I use it as my main device, coming back to it after having owned both 12.9" and 9.7" iPad Pros. The mini is every bit as good and productive, just miss pencil support at the moment. Until things start changing on the software side, this will be my iPad of choice for sure!

I love my mini 4, to me its the perfect size. Nice and compact, yet large enough to be an ipad with a larger keyboard and multitasking/split screen capabilities. No performance issues seen yet on the latest iOS for me thusfar. I think it will fill out your uses just fine. I personally wish it wouldve had the pencil support, that would be a beast of a notepad.

Just got my iPad mini 4. Guess I've been spoiled by the iPhone 7/A10 because while it's not slow per se, it's definitely not as snappy as the iPhone 7. I've also noticed it runs a bit warmer than my other iPads. Gonna have to get a case for it. Imho, the 7.9 mini form factor will benefit from the A10 with its sorta big.LITTLE configuration.

For the price I paid though (128GB WiFi: $299 + tax), it's a great mini tablet. :)

Interesting. The only app to heat up any of my iPads is Candy Crush, but CC on my Mini 4 doesn't even warm it up. On my 12.9 iPP, it does feel slightly warm.

Looks like it was just the initial setup. I had just unboxed it and used it for the first time, enabled iCloud Photo Library, etc. when I posted that comment (only installed two apps though - Firefox and Chrome). Guessing that sync was running pretty hard in the background while I was web browsing.

Using it now and it's been running pretty cool. Still, reckon A10 would be a nice bump for performance and battery life.

My mini 4 gets easily warm just while watching videos especially if it's in picture in picture mode, that hot spot is in the middle from right side. Even while browsing some web sites it gets a little warm.

My previous mini was first gen mini 1 and it was cold all the time, even while watching hd videos...
