I'm amazed they're still making it. I had an iPad Mini 3, great little device. It's a shame they did the Plus iPhones as they totally killed the iPad Mini's market position in doing so.

It seems like a zombie product right now, very underpowered. Safari is not very snappy on it, for example.

The mini 3 should never had been made, the only thing that was upgrade was Touch ID.

On a side note, Apple can never win with you people, this guy is complaing that because of the 6 plus, that doomed th mini market. Mind you at that time,people wanted bigger screens, badmouthing Apple bc samsung had the note out while the screen was still small. Apple gave the people what they wanted and now the mini community is upset?

Cook said himself that bigger screens cannibalizes the mini and they are not afraid to eat their own. The mini is dead, just like the SE. want a mini? Get a iphone XS. Actually the new mini might as well be the 9.7 ipad.

Yeah, Apple appeased one group (fans of big phones) and brushed aside another group (fans of small tablets). Why would you not expect the latter group to be irritated?

From this statement it seems like you don’t know that Apple stopped selling the SE but continues to sell the mini. Not to mention the strong rumor of a coming mini refresh. Perhaps you meant, “I THINK the mini is GOING to be dead, just like the SE.” In which case, I’d say Kuo’s opinion has more weight than yours.

The mini is much bigger than the XS and even the Max. And not everyone wants to carry around a giant phone everywhere. They’re two different devices for two different purposes.

Rumors of a Mini 5 are reinforced by the fact that Apple didn’t drop the Mini 4 when they announced the latest Pros. That would’ve been the perfect time to kill it if that’s what they intend to do, just like how they dropped the SE when the latest iPhones were announced.

While it’s still perfectly capable for now, the Mini 4 is a very expensive and outdated placeholder in the lineup until the 5 arrives. We all seem to agree on one thing at least: do not pay full price for a Mini 4 today.

No lag on my new Mini 4! I have business class wi-fi however! It is adequate! Not as fast as my new Lenovo desktop Thinkstation but it has a Intel 8th Core i7-8700 6 Core Processor - CPU, 32GB DDR4 inside, NVidia high end 8GB GDRR5 graphic card and 2TB NVMe SSD cost $3,400!
