I have a 64GB Air 2 and my mom has a 16GB Mini 4. Both are in otter box cases. The Air 3 screen sounds like it will be too big, even before I case it. I already have a 13” laptop I carry for work.

I’m going to try the mini more this weekend and see how it feels in comparison. If it’s a better fit for me, I might give my Air 2 to my mom (she’s 73 so a bigger screen is probably better for her) and making the mini 4 my coffee shop tablet. Then buying a mini 5 as my at home tablet.

I’m sure it’s not that big of a deal but I have extremely good eyesight and I feel like a higher pixel per inch on the mini would be better. Wide color gamut is probably more important though.

Here is my review to Ipad Air (2019): It is practical to carry around with you, watch some videos on the train, check your emails, and social media, basically the things you do with your phone but with a bigger screen. For doing more than that I don’t recommend this IPad. Its reaction is very slow, The selection of text, scrolling down on text and pages is very bad and takes too long until it does what you want to. The apps sometimes don’t work properly, they close, they don’t load all the content (example maps). The Pencil is slow and sort of uncomfortable to use. I would say you need a lot of patience or you are rather a very passive/slow user. The IPad is kind of heavy compared to other Tablets the same size, specially if you put on a case to protect it. The camera is very bad, I never use it. Transfering data is only easy if it comes from\to another Apple device, I would give it 1 point out of 5 for compatibility (Apple is still very stingy about this). Siri is good but don’t expect much, 1 out o 3 times you try to use it for something, you end up doing it yourself (you lose more time by trying). On the other hand, the battery last pretty much and the screen looks good. If you buy this product for the impression of what owning an Apple product has, or because you already have an IPhone, computer, or other electronic device from Apple, and don’t expect a high performance, than this is the right product for you. Otherwise there are way better tablets in the market, unfortunately apple is staying alway high in prices and aesthetic but back in performance. I bought this IPad to use the App “procreate” that is only there for iOS and I realized now it would have been better to buy a Samsung Tablet and pay the annual photoshop license.
