I'm restoring from a backup as I type this. I got the 256GB Cellular, and will use this as a supplementary device for my iPad Pro 12.9, and as a device to take with me for quick trips out when I don't want to carry the more substantial iPad Pro or a laptop.

Some quick thoughts.
I got the purple, and I really like the subtle hue. It matches nicely with my "blue" Logitech Keys-to-Go
I'm really liking the size, weight, and hold-ability of this.

I'll be using it with my Bellroy Folio.

On a separate note, I'd really like a manufacturer to make a keyboard case for this iPad mini 6 with a fold-out mechanism reminiscent of the old IBM Thinkpad butterfly keyboards! If there was such an accessory, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Doing just fine w/out ProMotion (I have an Air). Book reading and video watching is fine on 60hz. The display isn’t as good as the iPad Pro, but that doesn’t bother me. Not sure of the display differences beyond brightness and no ProMotion though.

Still thinking about a keyboard for the mini. How’s the logi keys-to-go? How’s the key feel?

Just got my mini today and I LOVE it! It’s the perfect size for my use case and I love the new design.

I’ve just inadvertently discovered a cool little feature - the volume buttons change depending on the orientation of the iPad. Holding it in landscape with the buttons on the left, the uppermost button increases the volume, but turning it 180degrees with the buttons on the right, it switches so that the other (now uppermost) button now increases the volume.

Not a major thing, but I was wondering how the button placement might get confusing depending on how it was being held. Thought this was a really cool feature as it’s now always the uppermost button.

Thanks for this info! I was wondering how it would work when I first saw it.

What about in Portrait? Does the right side button work as volume up or volume down?

Just tested this on my 2020 iPad Pro and the buttons don’t switch when it is held with the power button on the bottom. So apparently this is a iPad mini feature and not an iPadOS feature.

I tested it on mine too ? I wish they would adjust the same way they do on the mini.

Its a non issue with the Mini 5, so I am sure your use case will be even better on a 6. I use a 2021 12.9 pro and mini 5.

Spongy and very minimal feedback. It works for a quick email or a message, but I wouldn't want to type a report on it It's smaller than a normal sized keyboard, but that's not as much of an issue as the sponginess of the key-travel.
I got it to try with the iPad mini 6, but will probably sell it. I'm considering some other options like the Zagg trifold keyboard

You guys should download the app Noir if you like to blacked out web browsing. It’s a paid app but well worth it. It’s nice at night when you flip through webpages and you get a random page that’s mostly white ehr you’re trying to fall asleep.
