Interestingly, the new iPad 6 mini has a screen that is actually narrower than the previous versions.

Was 120mm, now is 116mm.

Feels more like a sideways move than a promotion.

True, but it is not as compelling an upgrade as the 8.9" screen that was rumored, which would not have given away anything:


I'll have to find other some reasons to spend ~$800 (I need the cellular version to get the GPS chip for off-road navigation, plus tax, etc.)
