I just got my KaysCase Slim Hard Shell Smart Cover Compatible Back Cover Case for Apple iPad Mini (Clear) from Amazon. It seem worth $10. I will wait for more options, I just got tweeter back from XtremeMac about their iPad Mini Case Line. I have to call them tomorrow about that.

However, I am very upset with SPIGEN. I order SPIGEN SGP iPad Mini Screen Protector Clear Steinheil [Ultra Crystal] [1-SET] for iPad Mini 7.9 inch - CLEAR thru amazon since last Friday. I just got package today and it ended up to be SPIGEN SGP iPod Touch 5th G in my package!! Since this item sell by SPIGEN not from Amazon, I have to contact them directly. And I have some experience about SPIGEN customer service response, it took around 3 days to response back. I even talk to Amazon, Sadly they can't do anything until Monday if they don't response to file refund for me. :(

Is it just me, or don't any of you think it may be wise to wait until these sellers at least have held one? :D

I mean, sure they have mock ups, exact measurements, but nevertheless. Perhaps the best case makers hold off for this event.

absolutely - the big case makers made a goof with the ipad3 by jumping the gun, and it cost them big time in returns....buy crap now if you want, but save your big money a month or two down the road when everything is perfect....

This. All the cases I have gotten so far have been under $10 with the exception of the Speck case. I will probably end up returning most of them except the ones that were so cheap that it would not be worth it.

toffee cases

I am interested in this one: toffee slim folio for iPad mini

I know these are a bit pricey and not sure if they are really worth the money compared to others. Just wondering if anyone else here has experience with any of their products, particularly the iPad 2/3 version of slim folio.

Thanks.

Thanks for those. I ordered the hard shell and the tpu version and both will probably have to go back.

I might use it until I got case that I like and yes, I didn't plan to buy smart Cover. I hope that it fit and protect the back for my iPad Mini.

it will protect most of it, but the side that the smart cover is on will be completely out on the side and a tiny part of the bottom.

If it fit with the smart cover I would keep it and use it, the quality seems pretty good.

Has anyone gotten anything from dodocase before? I'm planning to buy the Hardcover Solid (http://www.dodocase.com/products/hardcover-solid-for-ipad-mini-cases) for my mini but it says there it's glued to the back of the iPad with a "strong adhesive". Not sure if my iPad will fall out from the case due to heavy usage or not.

it won't fall out but it also will not come out easily if you want to ditch the case. I have several of these book type cases and found them to be too bulky for every day use...but the hardbook is nice for a one time business meeting so I'll get one and adhesive a clear snap on back inside so I can get it out if I want....stay tuned...

ya i hope they fix there case, its every bit as nice as my belkin one i spent $30.00 on for the Ipad 3.

I received mine today also but when i opened it I found a soft case not compatible with the smart cover. I started getting mad and then decided to read my packing list and low and behold there is a statement saying they are sorry but the hardcase didnt fit correctly with the smart cover so they sent me this case free and will send me the correct case after it is remanufactured to the correct specs. says I should receive it around next friday. I can live with that and the free case is a nice gesture....

For anyone interested in an Otterbox Defender for the Mini, I just received an email from the company that they are now available to order (they had been listed in "Pre-Order" status previously).

I might have to get back on that too. It will be nice if we got compatible one right away but at least we have some protection.

BTW, I just called XtremeMac today at call center number that they send on my tweeter. I talked to representation, which is technical support. But he was kindly enough to ask product specialist for me. XtremeMac for iPad Mini don't have any release date yet, But he encourage me to try again and he even give me reference number and product specialist number for me to contact next time. Also, XtremeMac sell their product through dealer only.
