Can someone please tell me where am I missing anything ? Right now I have my Right Click on the Bluetooth Mouse configured to open the Assistive Touch Menu. But I also want a right click enabled to be able to bring the other options like "Delete APP" and those 4-5 options that appear when you right click on an APP ! How do I do that ? Also if I have the right click enabled for this, does that mean my Right Click enabled to bring up Assistive Touch that will go away ?

What kind of Bluetooth mouse are you using?

My right click was mapped to to go back home but in doing this I could not cut and paste anymore so I turned that off and now I can go back to cut and paste. Just a heads up to your issue

So but if I turn off the assistive touch on the Mouse and I enable Right Click to copy and paste. How am I gonna perform the Multiple functions which I have configured on the various buttons on my Logitech MX 2 Anywhere Mouse ?

Logitech MX Anywhere 2

at the moment I think those are the limitations for the iPad Pro and the iOS. Just my guess,So someone correct me if I’m wrong

Uh ?? But you said you could change it to copy and paste now right ? So why is not possible for me ?

OK, I have now changed my imput Device to a logitech M557 and still able to cut and paste with the left button as well as highlighting the text leaving the right button available for another task, but if I do, I can’t cut and paste again with my left mouse button. So for some strange reason I have to keep my right key button to off. Very perplexing. I’m going to try another function for my right key mouse to see if it had anything to do with my left key mouse ability to cut and paste.

Ok, I have still not got an answer to my question, if someone can please tell me how to do this ?

Can’t help with your question but now my mouse is working properly where I can reassign the mouse buttons to anyone I want. But at first it would not let me do this. Kind of gone wacky on me. Good luck with your question

I don't understand why you have a button mapped to open the assistive touch menu.

There's actually an option to hide the assistive touch menu completely while a mouse is connected, despite assistive touch remaining active.

Yes I have figured out that I can hide the Assistive Touch while it remaining active. But then what are you suggesting not map my Mouse buttons to Assistive Touch Functions ? So then how do I operate functions which I have mapped to the Mouse Buttons like go to home screen, App Switcher, Volume up-Volume Down, if I not map these functions to the Mouse Buttons how do I operate it ? And how do I have copy and paste options on my right Click. I am so confused !!

You know what ? Thanks for nothing. I thought you were writing your own personal Blog on my Thread. But never Mind !!

I think the bottom line is that you can't have both AssistiveTouch on with Button 2 (right click) assigned to Open Menu and also have copy and paste options - right clicking will be Open Menu with AssistiveTouch on and copy and paste menu with it off. Button 2 would have to be mapped to Secondary Click under AssistiveTouch to get copy and paste with AssistiveTouch on.

Ok so how to do this ? On my MX Anywhere 2 mouse I already have 4 buttons mapped to 1. Home 2. Open Assistive Touch Menu with Right click and 3 & 4 Volume Up and Down.

So how to have right click for copy and paste enabled ?

2. Secondary Click.

And then how to bring up my Assistive Touch to perform the functions I have mapped my 4 buttons on the mouse like 1. Home, Volume up and Down, open Assistive Touch Menu ?

With AssistiveTouch turned on, those other buttons should work as mapped, i.e. clicking Button 1 will take you to the Home screen. I added AssistiveTouch to Control Center by adding Accessibility Shortcuts to Control Center in Settings.

So a good idea would be right now the right click on my mouse which I have mapped to open the Assistive Touch Menu I should pin it to control centre, vacate the right click on my mouse and map it to the secondary click > right click > copy & paste ? But the moment I enable secondary click to the right click on my mouse, does it automatically enables copy & paste option ? Or do I need to enable or change anything else also in settings !

Just change the mapping for the button in the one place and you're good to go.

Just for my understanding, I believe you are also using the same Mouse i.e. Logitech MX Anywhere 2 right ? Can you just post how have you mapped all the Buttons on your Mouse.

So now the way I have mapped my Buttons on my Mouse is

Button 1 - Right Click to Copy & Paste
Button 2 - Open Assistive touch Menu (Right now I have added go to Home in this Menu)
Button 3- Volume Up
Button 4 - Volume Down

But this leaves me with an issue on how to go to Home Screen with the mouse ? Earlier I had Button 2 mapped to go to Home Screen. But now since I have mapped Button 2 to Open Assistive Touch Menu. I am left with no other option on how to go to Home Screen. I know I can just keep going down on the dock and then still drag more down to go to home screen, also I have also customised the assistive touch menu to also include Home Screen option. But having a seperate button to go to Home Screen was so convenient.

I do wonder how many times do people have to say that you don't need a button mapped to "open assistive touch menu" in order to have the other buttons mapped as you like. ;)

What iPad are you using?

Ok So how do I open Assistive touch Menu ?

Reading this page might be useful

Ok. So i don’t know what was your motive behind suggesting me to read this content, but it is just a information on what Assistive Touch is and what Assistive Touch can do ? May I ask you how does this address the concern I have ?

I was saying with my Bluetooth Mouse I have mapped four Buttons to Four Functions one of them is open Assistive touch Menu. You came in here saying how many times people need to tell you, that you do not need to have assistive touch on to have its menu. I asked you explain me how ? And you gave that article to read. I put oil in my eyes and was also trying to read in between the line, inside outside everywhere. but still could not find out how can it address my current query.

So unless if you can very specifically tell me anything about my current query ? I think lets not beat around the Bush !!

I am looking for a way to open Assistive touch Menu without assigning it to any Button on my Mouse ?
