some ppl say it works on their 4th gen but indeed prob not worth the hassle
The Zagg page shows what the back of a case made for both iPads looks like.
honestly yeah ,i'd only miss the display scaling.just hoping apple wont drop the ios support next year or sth tbh ,but i doubt they will.i dont mind such features lack but i just fear that as time passes by they may cut any feature to m1 only lol
Which do you value more. Display scaling or 600 Euros? Over time there will be more M1 features, but by the time that has a serious impact you will probably be ready to upgrade again.
i'm totally fine with single app you are right .and i just saw universal control works on non-m1 !
Sidecar also works with non-M1 iPads.

A case is only compatible with with both generations if it has that larger camera cut-out.

I feel like the 2020s are more durable than the 2018s. If you carry the iPad loose in your completely full bag then it might be an issue, but in a decent rigid case it should be fine. Obviously be aware of how you pack it so don't put a water bottle against the iPad in a way that the iPad can bend against it. Don't try jam it in too small of a bag.

When you look at that guy's iPad, rest it screen down on a flat surface to make sure it isn't bent.

If the lack of AC+ is going to impact your ability to enjoy taking it places then maybe you do need to avoid used iPads no matter how good the deal. Also, the previous generation iPad Air is going to feel similar to the 2020 iPad Pro performance wise.

So look at Apple refurbisehed with the education discount. Apple is also running a back-to-school deal where you get a gift card with iPad purchase. You can always get your pencil and keyboard used.

apple refurb has nothing where i live sadly

the prices i told u were accounting the back to school promo lol ,otherwise the gap is even bigger

assuming i get the orane folio for 40 bucks ,and the smart pencil using gift card+20 euros, the price is 1220 for a base 128gb 12.9 m1 .now if i add ac+ it goes to 1347 :)) vs 710 for the 2020 version ...without apple care .lol

Any iPad will bend if you apply enough force; just be aware of how you pack your bag.

If you're still concerned, get a refurbished with education discount and AC+.
nah I think I'll be fine tbh
and as i said there is nothing in refurb in my country.ok im wrong ,there is !
