Water proof - I suppose that depends on which 100 people you ask. If you ask 100 people who only use it at home, in the office, or at Starbucks, then maybe very few (maybe none). Now ask 100 people who use it in the field - those who likely have a big, thick waterproof case. I bet you get quick a favorable thumbs up for waterproof ipads. Or how about people who take them on vacations? Personally, I would LOVE for my iPad to be waterproof - especially a Mini. Do I need it to be waterproof every day? No, but it seems silly to spend $100 on a case for the very few times I would like it.
Handwriting Recognition - Do I NEED it? No, but I would certainly use it! Again, it depends on the audience. For people that only use their iPad for surfing the web and Netflix, they would probably never use it. For people that use their iPad to take notes in meetings or would like to write instead of type, it would be incredibly useful.

Yeah, I'm in agreement for ditching the chamfered edge - the rounded edges of the iPhone are much nicer!
As for a Bezel-less screen? First response is: Heck yeah! I HATE Bezels (on any device) and if we can be rid of them, great! ... having said that... I guess I would have to see and hold one. I've been thinking about the bezel and, for the most part, it's personally useless. It holds the camera and the touch-ID, but if the touch-ID is integrated into the screen, I'm sure they can find some clever way to deal with the camera.
