My hope is 'seperates'My vote is ‘break’.
Except; I don’t think it’ll break it. It’ll continue to be an exceptionally well selling device that people love. Even if the hardware remains so comically overpowered.
But I really doubt that WWDC is going to show us a compelling new version of iPadOS.
Frankly; developers of the apps themselves could add a lot of the functionality and performance we need. And they aren’t likely to either.
Apple really shot themselves in the foot with the 'what is a computer' campaign that turned into the talks of an iPad replacing one's computer. Which we have a very long thread about that I believe hilariously misses the point so spectacularly.
I really hope WWDC introduces a compelling iPad OS that makes the iPad a more efficient thing to use for those who want to work with iPad OS, and not a thing that can be seen as Mac OS on a tablet.
I keep reading how some seem to hope that iPad Pros & Macs become interchangeable as opposed to complements to one another. Otherwise why not just a Macbook with a touch screen? ?
So I'm really hoping with the latest iPad OS they make the iPad a legit alternative to the Macbook. Apple just making it clear that we aren't getting the Macbook that's called an iPad anytime soon.
