Dude, if you can't afford it move on.

Oh I can certainly afford it. For the past 15 years I have the latest most maxed out version of almost every product Apple made. I don't rub it in people's faces, or think I'm the man because of it.

It is the snobbish attitude to belittle anyone who cannot afford to take their macbook to Starbucks that annoys me.

I hope some rough times on them so that they can learn some humility

To me, it would belong at home, sadly.
Which is the main reason why I won't get one.

I tried the 12.9" and it felt like I was carrying a television. The screen is almost as big as my MBP so, at that point, I might as well bring my laptop haha!
However, I do have the iPad Mini 2 and love the size as it's what works best for me. I literally carry it around everywhere!

I think the perfect size for Ipad Pro is the A4 letter size 11.7", just like carrying a textbook. It will likely be introduced in 2018 or 2019 when it switched to iPhone X type of edgeless screen ?

The reason I needed the 12.9' iPad Pro is the true A4 size display to read/notes taking on PDF documents without zooming.

Perhaps it was a look of, “Holy crap, is that what happens when you leave your iPad in water overnight?!?!”

I go to Starbucks regularly with my iPad Air 2 but now I got an iPad Pro 12.9 I have not seen anyone with iPad Pro 12.9. Most of them bring MacBook Pro of all size and some iPad 9.7 but none of Pro 12.9??? Is Pro 12.9 belong at home?

Here in the U.K. I see quite a lot of people with 12.9 inch iPad Pro at Starbucks. But why do you care so much? Just use whatever works for you

I know this thread is old but the quoted comment hit home for me. I am 60 years old & have stage IV cancer, technology i.e. Immunotherapy is keeping me alive.

As Steve Jobs once said " death is lifes change agent" tomorrow isn't promised to any of us, do what makes you happy, enjoy your Apple devices. Worry about doing you wherever that might take you.

I have seen very few 12.9" iPads in the wild.

I don't see any more of a problem bringing a 12" iPad than bringing a 13" laptop.

I swapped my 15" inch Retina Macbook Pro for a 13" inch Retina Macbook Pro so that I have the same laptop as people in Starbucks.

No idea why the guy who I swapped with was so happy that he got the 15" Retina Macbook Pro for this 13" MBP? I mean, nobody uses it in Starbucks.
