Hello,
I have been Experiencing up to 25% more Battery Drain since I upgraded to iPadOS 14. Instead of 10% of Battery Life resulting in 1 Hour of Battery Life, it’s been reduced to just 45 Minutes. This is a Brand new iPad, just over 1 Month Old. This leads me to Believe it’s the Software. Does anybody have any idea what’s going on?

I haven’t encountered this myself. Would any of you two say that you were working with any additional new features from these releases? New Apple Watch?

Yeah. Same.
Same here. I’m not doing anything differently. Even when the iPhone is sitting idle, where it used to be at 50-60% at the end of the day, it’s now at 30-40%. I checked the battery, and doesn’t indicate anything unusual; no Health App as others indicated was a battery hog. Very minimal amount of background apps. Hopefully, this is something that will work itself out in a few days.

Same here. I’m getting up to 2 hours less on a full charge since I upgraded. Hopefully it goes back to normal in a few days.

You updated so fast! Gotta wait a few weeks for all the bugs to be worked out!

I know everyone’s experience is different, but I was running the iOS 14 beta since beta 2 on my iPad 11” Pro first gen, all the way up to the public and havent had any noticeable drain. And I’m usually on it for long periods of time running Procreate and Affinity Designer pushing it’s graphics. I would give it a few days, to a week to mellow out. Or check with Apple for a faulty battery. Sorry you’re having issues.

Are you still having battery drain issues? My iPad Pro is draining pretty fast. Used it earlier for browsing these forums, and it was draining about 1% every 2 or 3 minutes! And it was getting really hot. I’ve done a hard restart several times, but it doesn’t seem to have helped. Iphone XS Max is doing the same. I have strong wifi connections on both devices, very minimal background tasks. I hope Apple releases some kind of update SOON. I knew I should have waited to update, lol. Battery life was great before the update. 🤨

It’s a movie so it has to be correct. Bunch of hot air packaged as wannabe wisdom, aka phone shop talk. Had to switch it of before the big reveal of the “pro” Tipp LOL

There’s a dedicated section on batteries on Apple’s website though, for those who want to take it from the manufacturer rather than screw up half the tablet experience by disabling features.

I have no abnormal battery consumption either.

You'd think that Apple wouldn't let people disable certain features if it were to screw up the experience. 🤔

Here’s Apple’s original, out there for probably a decade or so. Your “tech” channel adds zero value to those who can read.

The video itself seems to have been positively received by viewers, so I don't get why you're being so negative.

See my post at 17 up there including the link to what this tries to sell as great insight. It’s filler content.

Why are you looking for trouble? Why are you trying to start this argument again? It’s off-topic and unnecessary, not to mention disrespectful.

Im sure that the OP (@DiamondarBoss) wouldn’t want this happening in his thread.
