Weirdly specific. Why Space Grey? Why not 512GB? Why not a Midnight Blue sleeve?

Personally, if/when I buy a 10.5" Pro (probably once iOS 11 betas are slightly more mature), I'll be buying a 64 or 256GB silver model with a white Smart Cover and a Pencil.

That's like me saying to you why silver? Why not 256GB? Etc

It's all personal. That's the point.

I understand that! But then you can't say that the one listed in the original post is the 'perfect setup'. It might be for you, but the reason that Apple sells 42 iPad Pro SKUs is that there's no single model which is perfect for everyone.

Useful thread this one. I've taken onboard the idea that my BT keyboard I already have is actually all I need. Why tether a keyboard to an ipad and make it more cumbersome than it need be. Furthermore, why have a keyboard you can only use with one device. More important still is that I don't need to spend any extra money because I already have what I need. Personally, I couldn't just use the virtual keyboard for anything other than a short email.

My perfect set up: 1st gen 12.9 iPad Pro with Logitech Keyboard and Apple Pencil. Also Finite Smart case and soft Neoprene sleeve. By th way, I am at the public library.

Silly post. Everybody's different.

Exactly, and also different for every situation.

What's perfect for my office when working alone is very different than what's perfect for my couch when watching Netflix.

It's become more than just a consumption device. But I wonder why a keyboard when you can dictate to Siri so easily.

I prefer not to dictate all of my emails--some of them can be quite lengthy. I also do not think it's possible to type out all of my Word documents and Excel documents via dictation..

People need to remember that not everyone uses their device the same way you do. I type on my iPad more than I touch the screen.

My perfect setup would be an 11.7" iPad with a 16 core A11X CPU , 16GB RAM , 2TB storage, 3 USB C ports, MagSafe charging , it runs full MacOS, has an included smart cover that feels like a mechanical keyboard to type on and looks exactly the same as the still unknown iPhone 8.... and it's made out of carbon fiber and titanium
