it’s not a problem with my iPhone 11 Pro closer.
Nor mine. But it’s not an iPhone is it. It’s an iPad. It’s designed to be perhaps a little further away from you face becuase the screen is larger. I don’t know. Try it. Worked for me and now there is no problem.

Hi all

As you know I am currently on the verge of buying an iPad Pro (still not sure what size lol) one thing that is bugging me on the device is the front facing camera being on the side when using it in landscape mode... does this bother anyone in general use... and will Apple likely move it to top centre landscape in the future?

also what’s the likelihood we will see an updated IPP before the years through, is it worth waiting?

thanks

I been using iPad cameras for live teaching/recording for years. I’m “used” to only looking at the camera dot and not the actually screen. However, I’ve been wanting Apple to move the camera to the landscape side for YEARS now. Even though I’m used to the weird angle, I’d love be more straight facing. Makes way more sense with any of Apples iPad keyboards too.
Apple could add two cameras that auto switched according to iPads orientation. I’ve never been an portrait iPad user and I’ve been using iPads since week two of the original iPad.

I am in line with the thinking that even if Apple do release a new iPP before the end of 2020 with mini LED I can see them applying it to the 12.9 inch and charging the earth for it and probably running it as a iPad Pro Max or iPad Pro X or something like that.

The same thing happened when they first released Retina display, standard displays were a lot cheaper than the retina.

It definitely bugs me and I do think they'll move it with the next release on the Pro devices, especially the 12.9" one. Its just really weird as I always seem to be looking off-camera which I guess makes people think I'm not paying attention!

It doesn’t bother me and I use my 11 and pencil for work along with my laptop.
