When people pay $1500+ for a "computing" device with Magic keyboard and trackpad they are going to have basic expectations of what it can do whether warranted or not and Apple certainly isn't discouraging those expectations.I think so many threads are created on this topic because so many people think the iPad is an alternative to a computer. And I think that’s a mistake. It’s not what the iPad is for, even if some people are able to get away with it.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I barely use a computer anymore, I use my iPhone for everything, including running my business. Someone else mentioned he does the same. And I’m sure many other people do as well. But that doesn’t mean that the iPhone is a computer replacement and that Mac OS X should be put onto iPhones. It’s the same with an iPad.
The point isn't whether iPad is currently a laptop replacement, the point is that it COULD be very easily if Apple let it. I'm not just talking about iPad running MacOS.
